Neytiri= God?
 

First of all I put this here, becouse I didn't know whare should I but since Neytiri is the main subject I put it here

So, I was cruseing around Af and ToS and I saw 'Temple Neytiri' threads and groups (there is a Neytiri Temple on ToS as well) and are they building another religion? Is tjere preying to Neytiri? Don't understand me wrong, I don't have anything against it I would even join if not the fact that I'm a ateist (maybe someday I might) but is there going yo be another religion? If yes, what is the feith, pantheon, and history of the biggining of the world in that religion?

i am not religious in any way, shape, or form. i guess you could call me agnostic or simply not interested in the theological trifling felgercarb of humanity, but i absolutely love it if Neytiri were some sort of heavenly deity...but of course the very essence of her is far too complex for the stifling tripe of this hopeless carbon-based species. we are nothing but a muddled bumbling ant-hill on crack, in her presence.

It would be awesome if she was a God though, so many aysawtute would be up "stink" creek without a paddle ;) :)

If you don't stop multiposting, swearing unnecessarily, and making these garbage threads, I'm going to have to do something about it. If I was a mod I would have already given you some kind of warning.

Neytiri is one individual in her clan and her species. She is not a deity, and while she may stand for some kind of intentional allegory, her significance beyond that is null.

While I have a lot of core respect for the underlying values her charter projects ,, elevating her charter to the status of a god , big questions there,, I see Avatar and its symbolism as a reflective mirror story, like any mirror story there has to be some real world sources for that reflection to connect and resonate with people, I do feel Neytiri projects through the core virtue of her charter's "ethos" many layers of deep values that people collectively relate to at a deep heartfelt inner level ,,this is one aspect of Avatar not often spoken about very often and is one of underlying root strengths of the film that still carry on well past the films release , the fact that at least for some the film drove a number of deep personal self reflections upon peoples lives and the underlying roots of our own "ethos" "structures makes the film a very powerful venue in todays world , when one is driven to take a look at real world native leadership and community "structure" particularly the importance of the role of "clan mothers" ("Neytiri and Mo'at" are examples of this structure in the film Avatar) and importance and why they are there ,, are there real world source reflection "Neytiri" out there who protect the well being of "The people" today ? most likely , Native peoples value the virtue of "humility" not "pride"

some may find this interesting as a real world example of this role in a real world living community .
