hello

Newbie here. Accidentally found this site & couldn't join fast enough. Avatar happens to be the last movie my husband & I saw together before he passed away. So besides being my all time favorite, I'm sentimental about it as well. Hope to chat with lots of you & hope too that I'll learn alot. I own the 3 DVD set & love watching how Avatar was made. Good, useable Intel there. I watched all 3 every day for weeks after he passed because it took me someplace I would've rather been as I wasn't prepared to deal with my reality.
This is great!!!!!

Hey. Welcome.
Ma, that most just goes from happy to depressing and then back and forth again.

Bittersweet I'd say. But it's getting better. Thanks

Wow. Everyone who loves Avatar has a unique story to tell, but I've never heard one like this before. I'm glad to hear it's getting better. Welcome, diatribe!

Thanks for the welcome. I know my "story" is a bit out of the ordinary but somehow I knew after seeing Avatar.....we got to see it in 3d Imax!!!!!....it'd be part of my life forever.

Did you think about learning Na'vi, becouse if you realy want to get in to the Avatar world you should know at least a few words.

diatribe 01-28-2015 08:20 PM

I did think about it....am planning to actually. At some point. Am slowly moving thru threads & there's alot of info here I see. Do you all talk to each other in the language? I noted that Sam thought it was easier to learn than losing his Aussie accent.

Not true. I know absolutely none of the Na'vi language and I thrive in the community. Right guys? Guys?

It's mostly all English here, you'll have no problem if you stick with that. I don't know much beyond basic expressions for things like "hello," "goodbye," and of course "I see you." If you really want to get in depth in the language and truly use it to communicate, check out Learn Na'vi. ;)

Great.....thanks guys. I'm wanting to make the most of this experience. It's been way too long since I felt like I belonged anywhere.
