What games are you playing right now?

I've been doing a lot of mobile gaming lately. Mostly puzzles...

Here are the games I've been playing the past month.

Agario
LIMBO
Badland
Thomas Was Alone

What games have you been playing?

If it's a new release please tell us what you think of it. :)

Fallout 1 & 2 - great RPGs!

(so are Fallout 3 and New Vegas, for that matter - they're up next, though I've played them countless times before :D)

Destiny is where it's at. Best FPS gameplay, albeit with a weak story and crap balancing that should be addressed with the new expansion. Always fall back on Halo MCC. Despite the launch issues, I can't stay away from Halo 3 multiplayer. Also play some ESO from time to time. Really looking forward to Star Wars Battlefront.

I still play Halo: Reach on a routine basis.

Also, Sunless Sea - half game, half novel, with some of the best atmosphere and writing I've ever seen.

Civ V, Dynasty Warriors 8, and Torchlight 2

Eltu 08-18-2015 04:14 PM

If you like Torchlight 2, give Grim Dawn a look - spiritual successor to Titan Quest (check that out too if you haven't played it already, I can't remember) by the same developer and a great ARPG. :)

Titan Quest remains one of my very favorite ARPGs, along with Sacred and Diablo 2.

Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and all of the DLCs (and there are a lot of them).

I love this series. It's a bit similar to Fallout in that it is a gun-based RPG that takes place in some lawless badlands, but it is much less depressing and makes fun of popular culture.

The Hyperion corporation wishes to clarify that the bright light you saw after death was our digistruct technology, and not a higher power. Not higher than Hyperion, anyway.

I always wanted to get into Borderlands but couldn't - probably because 1) it's more coop/MP-focused and 2) it relies too heavily on pop culture references.

Tried the first game numerous times, it mostly made me want to play Fallout - but maybe I should try Borderlands 2 some day and see how that one's like. Maybe the SP experience will be a bit more fleshed out which'd be nice :D

I always laugh at these lines, right up until my character loads and the message "-$46,659" appears. XD

It's true that the game is considerably more fun with a friend or 3. That's where it excels. The general consensus seems to be that Borderlands 2 is the best. It's worth a go! Perhaps you will be able to pick it up cheap in a Steam sale at some point. I got the GOTY edition with the 4 major DLC packs for £6-something :D

Perhaps we should swap Steam IDs. :)

I've mostly been playing Splatoon. I have no clue why its so addicting. One more round ... ;p I've also played Don't Starve Together with a friend.

Eltu 08-25-2015 04:50 PM

I keep meaning to try Don't Starve (though its single-player part) - I very much enjoy these roguelike-inspired games popping up these days (favorites of mine being Binding of Isaac and Sunless Sea) so it's quite possible I'll like Don't Starve a lot too. Oh well, waiting for a Steam sale...
