i have been playing the Unearthed Firefight map on Halo: Reach, the last few days, very intense action and so much damn fun.
i absolutely DESPISE 343 Industries for getting rid of the Halo ODST, Reach, and Halo CE Anniversary Firefight maps, and even more so now, as they have combined a new 'Firefight' mode with other stuff and called it Warzone for Halo 5, but of course it is all pay for play and strictly internet-connected multiplayer....no non-net single player Firefight. you suck, micro$haft  |
I'm playing RimWorld, which is a top down colony sim. Its been in development a long time and recently went on steam early access (a good example of this).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=866pKJDoHj4 Also its very modable so perhaps someone can build an avatar mod for it? |
Rocket League :D

Deus Ex 4! Very happy with the game so far, though only on my second playthrough. The Eidos Montreal sequels continues to be mostly worthy of the Deus Ex name :D

Duke Nukem is an old favorite of mine and he's coming back again.
http://gbx-wp-gearboxsoftwarecom.s3....terProfile.jpg Sources Duke Nukem The King Is Back! Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour Arrives October 11th! – Gearbox Software Pre-purchase Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour on Steam This is basically the old Duke3D remastered with a whole new episode with new levels and content. Everything is being done by the original team so it should feel just like Duke3D always did. Unlike Duke Nukem Forever and how it was so far away from the original concept. It really alienated the true Duke fan base, which consists of people mostly in their 30's and 40's and probably some people in their 50's now too. Rumor has it they're bringing back the multiplayer aspect which would be awesome! :awesome: Dukematches took up all of my teenage years. If I wasn't playing Duke3D on PC I was playing it on the N64. In fact, I played it so much on the N64 the cartridge got hot enough to fade part of the sticker (photo below). http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...809_181647.jpg While everyone else was playing Sonic and Mario I was playing Duke3D, which is one of the grandfathers of modern first person shooters along with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. My personal favorite is Duke3D. I've played various versions of Duke Nukem like Time to Kill for the PlayStation and Zero Hour for the N64, but IMO they got it right with Duke3D. Still to this day I'll never understand how Doom was more popular. My picks for the top 5 most fun games I've ever played in my life. (by year) 1. Super Mario Bros. 3 2. Duke3D 3. Duke Nukem 64 4. Unreal Tournament 5. Planetside 2 To be honest Duke3D and Planetside 2 are nearly tied for the lead. I've never had more fun playing any game than when I play those two. #DNKROZ |
after reading your post, Enigma, now i'm gonna go play some Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, on my still-working original 2002 xbox. hell yeahhh!!!!!

That was back when I was playing Unreal Tournament, Quake and Half Life all the time. I never completed Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War though. That was back when Windows XP had a glitch that caused the system to randomly delete files and I lost my saves and the game quit working. :hmm: |
Halo Reach Firefight Mode....hell yeahhh!!!
http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/...multi_play.gif that Spartan Laser owns everything!!! :awesome: |

yes, i still have one for a bunch of games. even though MS has a lot of those games available on Xbone, they are not complete but a streamlined version with a lot of extras not included. for example, no ODST or any Firefight Mode in the Xbone MCC Collection or b/c download games. i also still have my original 2001 xbox for Castle Wolfenstein, Red Faction, and Splinter Cell, among others. Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War is one of the best fps shooters of all time! |
Somewhat of a variety here...
Titan Quest - giving it a full playthrough as it was just released as a remaster. Absolutely one of the best action RPGs ever made, alongside Diablo 2 and a few others. Its loot system is arguably second to none, and after having played ~500 hours of it in the past I'm thoroughly enjoying revisiting it :D Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - giving it a 3rd playthrough in preparation of the soon-to-be-released first DLC. An abrupt ending aside, a fantastic game and worthy continuation of the modern Deus Ex games (the first one still is the very best, though!) Fallout 1/2 - Slowly making my way through the Fallout series for the umpteenth time - such a great series of games, and the originals are always a nice place to start. Fallout 2 in particular I find very enjoyable, and it does make going through New Vegas later all the more interesting :) |
Battlefield 4 multiplayer, soo much fun! By the way BF>CoD

Great games! Half-Life 1, and 2 in particular, are still landmarks for passive storytelling in FPS games, and I do love the HL universe. Wish there was an EP3/HL3 already :D

i'm playing Half Life 2: Lost Coast pc expansion on my gently used Alienware Echo 17 gamer laptop i bought in Florida. you don't want to know how much per diem money i spent on that i7 core bad boy lol, even 6 months used. rig is badass though!

Replaying Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.

Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War. One of my favourite games.

sadly, all my consoles, tv's, games, pc, controllers, everything, are in boxes either in my apartment i am moving out of this month, or in boxes over at the townhouse i just closed on in December. it may be a while before i play any games again, my whole electronic life is temporarily confined to this old toshiba lappy i am on now. even my gamer laptop is packed up and awaiting it's new home. *sighs*
love me some Halo, Half-Life, Castle Wolfenstein, Red Faction, Goldeneye, Battlefield, and Tomb Raider. having withdrawals, lol |

Oh yes, and happy birthday for yesterday! |
Thanks! :)
And yeah, Borderlands 2 is great - Handsome Jack's really an interesting villain and the overall story and gameplay is awesome. I don't like it that much in multiplayer, probably because I don't like most games in multiplayer, but I got a couple hundred hours in SP :D |

X3 very much is "EVE offline" :)
