Cirque du Soleil Want To Hear From Us Fans!!!

Kaltxì ma frapo :)

We've had a message from Cirque du Soleil, whom you will know are the production company currently preparing the TORUK - The First Flight show. Currently they are in Bossier City, Louisiana, creating and rehearsing the show and getting ready for their first performance in November.

They are also preparing for a press event towards the end of October to give a first look behind the scenes, including the props, wardrobe, watching the training as well as a preview of the show to invited media.

Anyway, they would like to know what us fans are most looking forward to seeing (and hearing ;) ) in the show!!!

So could it be the costumes? The Na'vi back story and culture? Flying Ikrans? TORUK! Feel free to post below and we'll forward your comments on. You never know they might get covered at the press event and may be revealed in the show ;)

How exciting! My Eywa.

I'm most looking forward to what type of musical score they'll be incorporating. I haven't looked at much beyond the short teaser ad they posted, but along with that I'm really curious to see how they tell the character's stories. The portrayal of the world and it's beautiful people are important, but for me I'd be most anxious to see how the handle the emotional pacing and tone!

Irayo for letting us know, Alan!

Oel ngati kameie, ma tsmukan!

I'm definitely curious about the story they've written out. Don't know when/if I'll get to see it but I am nonetheless interested in exactly what story it is they want to tell and what they see in the backstory of the Navi, ages before the events of the movie.

From watching the videos on the website about the creative process, I get the impression that a lot of what they're creating is independent of James Cameron & co. (yet with his seal of approval). Am I right on this?

Irayo nìtxan ma aysmukan for your replies. I'll forward them through to Cirque du Soleil. One of the things I was interested is was how they tell cannon back story to the film. The other one was are they going to emulate the Na'vi accent that Zoe created? We shall see...

We looking to have the next meet up in Raleigh next year to see the show. Hope you both can make it ;)

Those shows don't usually have much if any talking. I may not be able to see it live but it'll still be on video somewhere so we'll all be able to see it eventually. I'm most interested in how they'll simulate flying and generally represent the various environments of Pandora on a stage. I think it's a really good subject for a Cirque du Soleil show because it doesn't necessarily require dialogue-- Pandora can definitely be diverse and visually inspiring without words.

Cirque du Soleil always kill it no matter what they do.

I trust that whatever James Cameron and the Cirque du Soleil team come up with will be fantastic and can't wait to see it. However, the show is not coming to my state and I can't afford to go see it somewhere else. That said, Avatar is such a big franchise that JC and the team will likely film one of the performances and release it on dvd, right? They've done it before.

So, whatever you guys do in the show, I BEG you to please make a dvd of it! I'm dying over here knowing I won't be able to see this show.

I say this mostly because there has been no word yet on whether Cirque will plan to do this or not, and I want to make sure.

Kaltxì ma frapooooooo!

Irayo nìtxan for all the comments I have forwarded them through to Cirque du Soleil. I've had a reply back:

"Thank you again for providing feedback on what fans are looking forward to seeing! The team has found it to be very useful and insightful!"

They also sent through a link to a video that will be released on Monday, but we are getting first sight of it. You can see it in the post here: http://www.tree-of-souls.com/avatar_...tml#post185056
