I can appreciate a good scam, and all the planning and trickery that goes in to it, but this was such a lazy, not even half-arsed attempt at a scam, that it could have been mistaken for a parody of a bad scam.

It is beyond belief that anybody could think that this would convince people and bring in any money.

Yeah, If he had true intentions no money wouldn't be envolved, I wouldn't have anything against living on an island, espectialy without a goverment, if it were to be filled with good-hearted people that can be trusted, but just imagine, when I think of this guy, I think of 'The Wicker Man', the movie which tells a story of a policeman going to an island to lookj for a lost girl and then it turns out it was a scam to get him to go there opnly to bre sacrificed... I mean look at his posts 'Once you join, there's no turning back' or words to that effect, If he had his way, I'm sure that it would look exactly like it 'The Wicker Man.

I know it sounds creepy, but that's what came to my mind when I heard about the island and the suff he was saying

Even if joining were free, I would not join. The project is not transparent enough for me. The OP has not even presented himself properly and doesn't want to talk about the island other than Fathertanic and ships. Plus, the information is incomplete. Will there be pre-formations to get to know the place? When? How? How to behave or not to destroy the entire ecosystem at the first dinner?
