Indeed, his progress with the NK leader is one of his good actions.
He just could be a bit more respectable (it doesn't mean he has to stop to say things we don't like/agree with) from the outside view. I'm glad I'm not living everyday with these societal debetes. lol |

President Trump says things that he knows bothers his haters, and he's going to do what's right for this country whether anyone likes it or not. That's why he's so popular. I understand that he can be abrasive, but try to pay more attention to what he's doing.
https://scontent-dfw5-1.cdninstagram...ninstagram.com No one can honestly say they hate the record breaking achievements this president has made. |

Just a quick reminder to everyone on this thread, and to anyone who views it, to do your own research and fact check everything you read or see - especially when it comes to the topic of politics - and try to use unbiased and reliable sources when presenting evidence. There is an increase of people online using biased and untrue sources and claiming that they're facts; particularly when it comes to topics like the American president and the upcoming elections.
Anyway Peace out ☮️ |
UK resident here... so admittedly I'm not really all that up to scratch on American politics (I've got brexit to worry about!!).
So can anyone give me a politically neutral/unbiased rundown on what Trump's actually doing?? because everytime I see anything on this guy, there's people either saying 'DON'T LISTEN TO THEM - THIS IS A LEFT WING SMEAR CAMPAIGN!' or 'THAT RACIST DIRTBAG AT IT AGAIN'.... ultimately I've given up trying to keep up. |

Basically, he's doing and saying a lot of stupid stuff. Some of the stuff is just kind of random, but makes sense if you look into it a bit. And some some of the stuff he says is legit stupid, and racist. I don't like him myself, but I don't harp on him for everything, but he doesn't make himself look good at all. |
I'll agree with moonbeam^ concerning certain things he says that are pretty stupid, though I wouldn't say "saying stupid things" necessarily makes him stupid. Because... he kind of isn't, if you wanna really get down to basics.
I'm conservative libertarian, so I personally think every president since FDR has been abusing the presidency to various degrees. Many people have expressed their surprise that Trump was elected, but it was pretty inevitable if you look at American history concerning the executive branch. Also, I hate being the type of person who says, "Hey! Read this thing!" or "Watch this video!" But I'll be honest: libertarian views in America are pretty much as unbiased as you'll get when it comes to politics, and this video shows what happened. Don't watch it if you don't want to; I'm just posting it (though it's pretty entertaining, whether you're conservative or liberal). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s0BAHuK_aA |

By the way, I'd be glad to hear any takes you might have on Brexit and/or Boris Johnson should you feel like sharing them. |
Always this "racism" talk in every way...
Avatar is also about indigenous people AND preserving them and their species/race/culture/way of life instead of deytroying it forever. The biggest racism I can see today, is how we ancient indigenous white people of Europe are beeing replaced by low birth rates (which actually was a very good thing) in combination with higher migrant birth rates and continuing legal/illegal mass immigration from overpopulating Africa/Middle East/Asia and even Central/South America. Yep there was the strange war in Syria and instead of helping actually real war refugees locally for 1/15 of the cost or 15x times as many, Europe especially my stupid Germany lured millions more inside and counting, most of them young men of retarded muslim world view eventually looking for easy money from working people. Estimated costs in Germany alone are 1.000.000.000.000€ for migration in the recent and coming years. And for what? For the ethnic cleansing of indigenous Europeans? Does it help the countries of emigration? Not really, most of them still got too much population growth. There are alot of areas in Europe which already don't have anything to do with Europe except beeing part of the geographical continent, they have been turned into a new Orient. I ... fight for the rights of indigenous peolpe, be it anywhere in the world, but here in Europe us bad white men are the ancient citicens. Besides, it is basically overpopulation what destroys nature, kills species, warms the climate with deforestation, wastes the precious resources of Earth in a short period of time and so on and on. Real multiculturalism includes, that the different cultures/races are to be PRESERVED and not slowly be displaced by demographics and migration. The end result of that development is the exact same as a full-scale genocide. Think of that please, it is not ompicated. |

Before Boris Johnson came into power, there was a big flurry about the conservative party possibly 'dissolving' if they could not secure a brexit deal by October. Newspapers were announcing the possible 'DEATH of the Nations OLDEST political party' - which would likely happen if everyone lost faith in the conservative parties ability to secure a brexit deal. In the run up to selecting a PM, there was a live debate involving ALL possible candidates scheduled to run on Channel 4 (**could be another channel I can't remember exactly**), either way political debates are held regularly on this channel and a lot of people were eager to hear what Boris Johnson had to say about Brexit. He didn't turn up. He didn't give a reason or notice either. Later it came out he'd been having huge arguments with his gf - though I'm not sure whether this was the reason for him skipping the live debate. It didn't matter anyway, because all his 'opponents' were pretty weak and were just trying to rehash what Theresa May had already tried. Now he's PM the value of the pound has SERIOUSLY dropped; and this is due to his 'ALL OR NOTHING' HARD brexit attitude - he doesn't seem to care about the consequences of a no deal brexit, he just seems focused on saving face. My opinion on Brexit? STAY - we need foreign workers and we need 'free' trade and travel. Most the people that voted 'leave' were those who ran around screaming 'IMMIGRANTS ARE STEALING ALL OUR JOBS' but when offered THOSE jobs (e.g. full time care workers for the disabled, working long sweaty hours in factories, cleaning public toilets, housekeeping etc.) they ALL stuck their noses up! And now we have a shortage of workers IN ALL OF these areas..... -.- ^ Now I should mention that I'm not heavily invested in politics, so this isn't exactly the 'BREXIT SPEECH TO END ALL SPEECHES'. |

Again, it's just a small list. I'm sure there's plenty I missed. I tried to make it focused on his policies and goals, and thus I haven't included anything regarding his relationship with the whole investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. If you want to know more, try reading up on the people he's appointed to specific positions (e.g. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, Administrator to the Environmental Protection Agency Scott Pruitt, etc.). As Crickett said, Wikipedia may be untrustworthy so pardon my using it - however, you can typically find links to plenty of news segments within each article. I hope this gives at least a start to getting to know the Trump presidency. Thanks for your words on Brexit. :hi: Boris Johnson sure does seem...interesting. I'll admit I was surprised when I saw he was to be the next PM, though I'll also admit I hadn't been paying close attention to British politics for a while.
Spoiler: only my own opinion!

Thank you Crickett and Empty Glass - I'll have a good read of all the sources you two have linked :hi:
It will probably take me a good while to properly 'soak' everything in, but it's high time I formed a proper conclusion on Trump based on hard facts - rather then just petty Twitter/Tumblr rants. Sooo I'll be back to this thread - and hopefully a bit more clued up then I prev was. |
You're welcome discounthobo! :) I hope it all helps.

if the Mango Mussolini would only delete his twatter account and act more dignified and befitting a President as the majority of his 44 predecessors have, i would not be so vocal and adamantly opposed to him.

I think we need to take a step back so that we don't end up alienating each other. I know I can be a bit heavy handed when I speak in a conspiratorial way when addressing what I see as an obvious agenda. As a result of being Christian my fundamental beliefs about the world is that there is a satanic agenda being orchestrated and choreographed by none other than Satan himself. In the Bible, Satan is given many names and many titles. We've all heard his many names: The Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub, etc. The titles given to him are more telling. In the Bible he is called the PRINCE of this world, the RULER of this world, and Jesus Christ himself called Satan the GOD of this world. He and his demons are here influencing people, and causing mischief. By the way, demons are simply fallen angels who rebelled against the one true God: the creator of all things. One third of the angels fell with Satan. When I look at the things going on in the world I see it from this perspective; and it has to take on a kind of conspiratorial tone. It isn't that I believe anyone here with left leaning views is knowingly involved in the satanic agenda; it's that I believe people who follow certain political / social ideologies have been deceived, and by teaching their beliefs to others they are unknowingly deceiving others. They are unknowing participants who are 'doing their part' in what is essentially Satan's agenda.

Don't forget to read the longer section to my post. |
As for politics, this weird parrallel dimension we are in is something else, I really don't have faith in any party getting us out of the issues that we face, that being said Captain Cheeto is something else, I've watched him say that "climate change is a Chinese conspiracy", and "I didn't know you could have droughts that far north" in a different speech, sorry but I prefer my crazy in my bread. That is just the tip of the iceberg of the insanity that he posts on twitter. Overall I'm not a fan of nationalism, it devestated the world in the 30's and 40's, and frankly I'll be getting too old to deal with this crap. Lol but all I can do is do the best that I can and hope for the best.
|
I honestly think everyone who's spewing hate on either side of the aisle is fringe. We can talk all day about the dumb stuff each political party/person has said, but at the end of the day, none of us are in any way affected by it. At all. In any way.
So reaming out insults is pretty much showing lack of interest in real discussion. It's all about soundbites and headlines and reading news outlets that spin the stories. That's what I find pretty tiring to see. |
Quote:
the Orange-Faced One was instrumental in reversing the environmental protections signed into law by his predecessors, that kept both the Dakota Access Pipeline and Keystone XL Pipeline from being completed and allowed to transport northern tar/shale oil to the Gulf of Mexico. these pipelines have occasional leaks and the refineries on the Gulf, are prone to spills and being wrecked/damaged by hurricanes. yes, we are affected by his lack of empathy for the environment. oil causes pollution in many ways, other than fuel spills, over-pressure blowoffs, and Co2 emissions at the refineries. oil gets in the groundwater aquifers, leaches into shore ecosystems, and contributes to defects in fish, birds, and animal populations along the pipelines and coastal areas. we don't need more oil, we need solutions for the future and renewable energy sources. peak oil is not that far away, the singularity point at which the world's known/usable oil reserves is less than worldwide demand. peak oil is inevitable. |
^And that, is for another discussion.
(By the way, I'd still fail to realize how you're personally affected by that decision.) |
I've noticed that there is an ever growing number of people who are against nationalism (independence) and are in favor of globalism instead. I want to explain why I support nationalism over globalism by expressing my primary concern with globalism.
First, I want to make the terms clear. I know that the mainstream media has redefined nationalists as being white supremacists. The official definitions have actually broadened to include white supremacist, racist, and xenophobia. I want to make it clear that when I say I'm in favor of nationalism I'm saying I'm in favor of independence. I'm completely against white supremacy or any form of racism. As I said in my previous post, racism goes against my fundamental beliefs as a Christian. I do not believe Evolution Theory is true; therefore I do not believe any group of humans is more evolved than / superior to the other. Those who are left-leaning are usually atheists and of course atheists believe Evolution Theory without question. That means it would make more sense for someone who has left-leaning views to be racist; and of course, the left is always talking about race. It's an unhealthy obsession in my opinion. I will acknowledge that I am using generalizations. There are theistic evolutionists, but that's like claiming to be a vegetarian who thinks it's important to eat meat too — it's an oxymoron. What about the gay Christians? Well, what about the sober drunks? What about all of the morbidly obese starving adult children in the world? My Problem With Globalism: The Christian Perspective The antichrist, Satan in the flesh, will one day arrive on the scene. He will arrive during difficult times and he will bring the world together in peace. Who is this man and where will he come from? Can he be identified? This man will be almost universally well liked. The only people who will have an issue with him will be those who are truly saved: born again, Christians. The rest of the world will literally worship this man. He will claim to be God, and he will have the ability to perform signs and wonders. He will have use of Satan's magic. If a man claimed to be God and he had the ability to fly, walk on water, or appear and disappear — his words would likely have more weight even for the most critical skeptic. Political Left / Political Right People, like me, who are right-leaning believe in PERSONAL FREEDOM. We believe in the rights of INDIVIDUALS. We believe that your life MATTERS, and that you should be able to make of it what you will. For the left, globalism is the future. It's less about the individual's personal freedoms or rights and more about the collective. The issue with this is that the antichrist's political views will have to be left-leaning because in the antichrist system a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT is formed. The antichrist will be a globalist. We're talking about a man with a Socialist / Communist vision for the future and with the goal to unite the world — in the name of peace. Quote:
One key thing you need to know is that people will believe the antichrist is a good guy; and he will successfully bring peace on Earth, but you should know that Satan mascarades as an angel of light. This means anything truly satanic will be presented to you as something good or positive. Yes, learn to meditate and do some yoga to relieve stress. Charge your chakras to balance your energy. Open your third eye and obtain Christ consciousness. Learn to astral travel, leave your body and slip into the spiritual realm. In other words — The New Age movement that is being promoted literally everywhere. God forbids these practices. If you are left-leaning then you're probably agnostic or an atheist; so my worldview sounds like ridiculous nonsense to you. Quote:
Climate Change Those of us on the right are always accused of being "science deniers"; so you might wonder, as a Conservative and a Christian, do I believe in climate change? In short, yes. Yes I do believe in climate change. Just not in the same way you believe in climate change... Wikipedia — Weather Modification Wikipedia — Cloud Seeding Wikipedia — Operation Popeye I know that even suggesting that the government can control the weather (change the climate) to use it as a weapon leans on the side of conspiratorial, but this is absolutely real. Well, it's either real or it's propaganda. I am starting to think that a lot of what we are being presented isn't actually real. By the way, I would like to point out that Wikipedia is left-leaning. |

The reason the left talks about racism is because it's still there. Racism is still ingrained in our culture. You don't have to look too far with how cops are shooting unarmed black people in America, and Trump locking up families just for trying to find safety.
|
The locking-up-families thing I'll point out was kinda done as far back as Obama, and multiple politicians on both sides of the isle have been trying to reform the thing for years. I wouldn't call that a Trump thing; I'm getting tired of it being attributed to him. Stop making me defend Donald Trump. lol

Obama isn't the president anymore, and Trump is making things worse with ICE, and his words about how he talks about them. |
It's a bit hypocritical, though, to not be outraged at something when someone you like is doing something wrong, and then conveniently begin to care when it's allowed through someone you hate. Just saying.
