ay-Ram a-L<us>ėng... the mountains that hover, where the banshees were:P and as for Paris... Well, if we convert human names to na'vi ones, then why not doing it so with cities also? This form could have been used before also, but it's just that Frommer made it official by using it :) Edit: tė'ong - blooming, unfolding, n tėmok - suggestion, n tė'em - the art of cooking, n leyn - repeat, do again, vtr päsketpol - basketball, n nėFranse - French, in French, adv nėToitsye - German, in German, adv nėno - in detail, expansively, thoroughly, adv hėno - fine, detailed, precise, intricate (of things), adj leno - thorough, detail-orientated (of a person), adj tėno - thoroughness, attention to detail, n 'ongokx - be born, vtr nokx - give birth to, vtr nėtrrtrr - on a daily basis, regularly, adv tėn - activity that keeps one busy, n txin - main, primary, adj txintėn - occupation, primary role in society, n 'emyu - cook, cooker, n vewng - look after, take care of, be responsible for, vtr |

What I meant was the difference in the words. I don't see 'lėng' in the phrase for Floating Mountains 'ayRam aLusėng' so it's a grammatical difference that didn't make sense to me. Or is it lenition? Still trying to understand the language structure.

it is in the phrase: ay-ram a-l<us>ėng. now the word a-l<us>ėng is "lėng", only that it has been made an active (technically you could also say "Lusėnga ayRam") |
aha...okay..thank you for clarifying that. Sort of. I was never good at building grammar lessons. But I figured it was something like that and was just missing it.
Oh, and I got some of the lines from the I See You song translated..still working on it. |
And as a sidenote...I would like to ask people, if I should, or shouldn't include new words here any longer? I mean...How many people are actually interested in this at this point? |
Dear....Eywa..:shock::shock:
Last time I checked out a Na'vi vocabulary/dictionary, there was only like 500 words. Most of these I don't even recognize.-.- This is going to need my full attention from now on. :facepalm: But it's going to take so long to catch up.:'( Oh well, I guess I can begin it now. P.S. I am, Kalakuival |
