Some will be NeyNey and Jake's, all will be Na'vi except for one:

Their film likenesses, naturally, will differ greatly once their motion capture work is done and the characters are rendered, so at this point it’s tough determine what their characters will look like when all is said and done. All of the children will be Pandorian kids except for 12-year-old is Jack Champion, who will play Javier “Spider” Socorro, a human teenager born at the Hell’s Gate military complex on Pandora, a location that was key in the original Avatar.

Jon Landau on the youthful additions:

“We never had this youthful element before, and that brings a different kind of energy to the film. They represent the future generation of Pandora and play a very significant role—not just in this movie but throughout all the movies.”

Edit: Here's the rundown of the kids roles:

The Sully Family
JAMIE FLATTERS: Neteyam (neh-tay'-ahm) Jake and Neytiri's first born son.
BRITAIN DALTON: Lo'ak (loh' ahk) Lo'ak is Jake and Neytiri's second born.
TRINITY BLISS: Tuktirey: (took-tee'-ray) She goes mostly by "Tuk" (rhymes with "nuke"). She is youngest of the Sully family.

Of the Metkayina Clan
BAILEY BASS: Tsireya (see-ray'-ah) "Reya" She is a graceful and strong free-diver - the young Neytiri of the ocean.
FILIP GELJO: Aonung (aw-nung') Young male hunter/free-diver son the Olo'eyktan of Metkayina Clan.
DUANE EVANS JR.: Rotxo (row'-txoh) Young male hunter/free-diver of the Metkayina.

Former Hell's Gate Adolescent
JACK CHAMPION: Javier "Spider" Socorro - A human teenager, born at Hell's Gate but prefers his time in the Pandoran rainforest more than the asphalt of Hell's Gate.

Feel free to add any you can find...

Does anyone feel find that this new generation of kids including humans reminds me too strongly of Tiger's Hunt by Xenobia?

berryrabbit 09-27-2017 09:56 PM

It is great to learn the names of Jake and Neytiri's kids. Unfortunately, I'm already seeing commentors complaining about child characters being in the sequels. One called them little brats. Another claimed the sequels will be just cute kiddie films. Give me a break. These child characters represent a new generation on Pandora. I want to learn about them and how they perceive things around them. It's likely there will be an insight into how Na'vi parents keep their children in line. I wouldn't be surprised if Na'vi children are a lot like human children getting into all sorts of mischief, including playing pranks on their elders, daring each other to do something wacky, and annoying their siblings.

I suspect part of the problem is this is the first real production info to come out and its showing the kid characters and only the kid characters. It could have been soften by bringing out some other stuff about the original characters to balance things out and head off criticism.

Really the avatar social media accounts have been quiet on all this.

berryrabbit 09-27-2017 11:14 PM

I understand that. Still, I want to get to know Jake and Neytiri's children. We can only speculate what phyiscal traits from the parents they will have. The same goes for their personalities. One thing is clear. Jake and Neytiri will have their hands full with Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Tuktiery.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-28-2017 06:37 PM

it is all part of the 'new life' theme from the end of film deleted scene, which really should be rendered and finished, a great scene showing Jake being tender to a pregnant Neytiri, as they are fishing in the river, kids playing around them, pregnant Na'vi women everywhere. the scene was designed to show that the planet, the Forest, and the People will heal and thrive, and go on. i, for one, am happy to see the next generation of kids who will one day be hunters and warriors. long live the Omaticayans! :)

it is absolutely great to see Avatar production underway at last!!!

CyanRachel 09-30-2017 04:03 PM

Irayo, Jachyra, for posting all the info about the new young Na'vi characters! Exciting stuff! Looking forward to meeting them all in the sequel films. :)

SecOps 10-01-2017 02:24 AM

I take it that Hells Gate is back in operation then?

Really starting to wonder now what the state of events are.

I agree, that was a powerful scene for the Avatar fan, loved it too. Now, we'll be able to see the 'aftermath'... or whatever happens a few years later.

Not sure about this as almost every human were jettisoned off world (i.e back to earth). Well somebody (as far we know: the kid) must've deliberately stayed behind while every human (except the few who were chosen to stay) were carted off the planet. Now for an interesting question: whose kid is this? :hmm:

Cheers!

Wind12 10-01-2017 08:01 AM

I second Ja'k's motion :D :D I'm glad to here about the next generation and cant wait to see the adventure that awaits we are going back to Pandora!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SecOps 10-01-2017 11:46 AM

Is JC making kids movies now or...?

Ja'k Dawsiin 10-01-2017 10:01 PM

i hope all the scientists left, eventually find a way to go thru the Eye of Eywa and become part of the People. once there are no humans left at hellsgate, Jake can find a way to drop one of those huge floating mountains, right on hellsgate as a kinetic projectile, destroying the place once and for all. (hopefully with all the newly-arrived rda murderers on it and still setting up shop)

SecOps 10-02-2017 12:57 PM

Is a film like that really going to rake in another X billion though?

Seriously who would watch 2 hours of that =/

Ja'k Dawsiin 10-02-2017 11:44 PM

i would gladly pay to see a 2+hour film (or longer) of the Omaticayans, their history, traditions, culture, new life as they search for another Hometree, and their interactions with other clans on the planets. i would love to see shots of the Forest reclaiming the clearcutted areas, green overtaking parts of hellsagate slowly, tree roots punching through the concrete runways, the planet healing itself. i would love to see Jake find a way to fill back in the huge strip-mining pits and maybe replace the unobtanium stolen from the Hometree site, by bringing it from the mountains. i think the unobtanium ore may help the roots of old Hometree, grow again. that tree isn't dead fully, there is still life in the connected roots, it just needs a catalyst and some tlc.

i am a fan of the Na'vi and beautiful world of Pandora.

SecOps 10-03-2017 12:09 AM

That's only going to appeal to a smaller audience though.

Ja'k Dawsiin 10-08-2017 07:03 PM

they need to consistently release Avatar-related materials during this two-year run up to the 2020 premiere, to keep the interest and excitement building, after waiting 10 years for more! i would render and finish the Avatar CE deleted scenes, and release an Avatar Ultimate CE in this two year waiting period til December 2020.

Neyfan 10-09-2017 03:26 PM

That would be greatto see a finished version of the cut scenes seen on the 3 disc dvd. I would love to see the finish post hunt celebration scene of Neytiri dancing and it catches Jake's eye and also when he and the na'vi get wasted drunk and Tsu'tey is talking to him for the first time. "You're warrior hide inside machines."

I can't wait to return to Pandora and see more of the Na'vi people and cultures and the world they live on and in. and It sounds like we are going to get to experience some awesome stuff, sadly while the aysawtute will probably cause more issues( sawtute don't learn very fast) but in the end they will be set straight by the people, I can't wait for the continuation of this journey. :D

I get the sense that while we will see some of that, it won't be as much as we expect, and that they're going to focus more on the seas of Pandora or possibly a second sentient species.

It great to see the inclusion of children into the roots of the World of Avatar's story verse, this will also introduce the ability to show the how the Na'vi people handle "coming of age" with there young clan members ,, some of the roots of "Toruk first flights story come to mind" the edition of a new Clan of "free divers" also plays into a venue that has always been very strong for James Cameron with his interests in ocean exploration. I could source reflect on examples from Earths "First peoples" that live on the ocean and are free divers but will take a wait and see perceptive, the short on the documentary "At Home Under The Water, Philippines on BBC Ocean Planet "

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDspP4BhlTw

Some of earths "first peoples" children have a unique adaptation that enables them to see more clearly underwater
"without" wearing a mask or goggles its spoken upon here ,, will the Na'vi free divers children have to learn this adaptation as well ? this example is probably worth reflecting to James Cameron and the lightstorm creative community

I can not wait for the sequels to come out!

Neyfan 05-05-2018 07:14 PM

Zoe posted a video thanking fans while in between filming scenes for the sequels. She gave thanks to the fans for the sequels and recent Infinity Wars film. She also got a star on the Walk of Fame today. Awesome. :)

Ja'k Dawsiin 05-14-2018 07:12 AM

congrats to Zoe for her star on the Walk of Fame, much deserved!

congrats to Zoe and Avengers IW cast, for a hugely successful and entertaining film, already at $ 1.54 BILLION DOLLARS WORLDWIDE BOXOFFICE in just 17 days! wow! :)

Ja'k Dawsiin 08-12-2018 05:01 AM

i find it ridiculous that there isn't a ton of pictures and promotional materials being released to help awaken long dormant interest in Avatar and the sequels, because the people today have absolutely no idea Avatar exists, after nearly nine years of irrelevency in the arena of public perception. after all, it's these people today who are supposedly going to make these sequels 'blockbusters' not the few diehard fans still around these many years later. what gives, JC? where is the promotion?!

Exoblade 08-12-2018 09:47 AM

Agreed, its like pulling teeth.

On the plus side Britain Dalton did reveal this crew t-shirt on instagram:

Not much but still interesting.

allroock123 08-30-2018 10:36 PM

Well my big question and probably a lot of other peoples as well, is who is the new composer for the films music ?

I took the liberty of Googling it for you and it doesn't look like anyone knows.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-04-2018 11:01 PM

Hans Zimmer has a lot of interesting sounds and similar beats in some of his scores, and also provided sound direction assistance to other composers. i think he is the most adaptable of the 3-4 composers who do sci-fi scores.

rest in peace, James Horner. you are sorely missed.:(

Talk about cuteness overload! :):):)

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-29-2018 09:47 PM

can we please get some update pictures from the set?! total set secrecy does not a great promotion make, especially for a film property that hasn't been in the arena of public perception, for many years.
