Favorite Thing About Pandora
Alright .. what do you like the MOST about Pandora .. the landscape , the numerous wonderful animals , the forests which show us their real beauty especially at night , or is it the people ?
Well Ok .. I know , everything about Pandora is wonderful and unmatched in it's beauty , multifaceted and rich in all forms of living creatures , but maybe there is something you adore the most :) I personally adore the bioluminescence of Pandora forests , it's like the Gateway to a completely different world that lets you forget about everything , I personally would give anything for the experience of exploring it myself .. But enough about me , I want to hear from you now what you like the most about Pandora  |
Night there. The bioluminescence is just beyond description, there is nothing else at all like it.

Neytiri.

Oh Neytiri, how I loveth thee.
|
Think my favourite thing is the Bioluminescence too :)
Ive been researching Bioluminescence on earth just to see if that sort of stuff is possible, and It is! Luciferase taken from a Firefly can be created inside a plant to make it glow! But yeah, Biolum is what sets Pandora apart from "other" alien planets ~Skxawng |
The seemingly endless and (pre-human invasion anyway) pristine jungle. I'd love to be able to just go and explore...
|
1 Word: Eywa!

The People. It just wonderful how they all love each other, they See :P |
I don't know but I am a fool at describing landscapes or such... Anyway, the most amazing thing about Pandora is the sky at night and the views on daytime, also the way plants show up when it's getting dark outside. Looks like a Sensation White or Trance Energy scenery with all those amazing lights from burple to purple and from pink to grink. The planet itself is the most amazing thing. I don't know about other territories, but where the Omatikaya live is an amazing place and I definetely fell in love with it.

For me it would either be the bioluminescence or the floating mountains!
|
Bioluminescence , Forest, Floating Mountains... Everything :D
|
I like the huge trees and how the limbs stretch out to everything! Would be fun to run around in the trees!
|
...Can I say pretty much everything?
No? Damn it. :( If I really have to choose, I'd say the People: they live as peers, with no hatred between them (at least when they are in the same clan as far as we've seen). They are one with each other and one with Eywa. Is there a more beautiful thing of this in the whole universe? |
I add my voice to those others have said, in this thread, that their favourite is the People. Pandora itself is a home to innumerable wonders, each of these could exist elsewhere within the realms of possibility. The Na'vi are, I believe, irreplaceable.
2nd vote goes to the lush and unending forests though. |
2 words: unharmed nature ;)
|
Pandora is somewhat like an insight into the so-called 'Garden of Eden' that we had, before the innate greed in us took over and turned us towards what we are today..
|
Hmm...
The huge jungle, the floating mountains, the biouminscensce, tsaheylu, The People, Eywa... I love all of these, but my favorite has to be: The fan lizard :) They're too cute. |
The exotic plants and locations as well as the animals.
The vivid shapes, colours and textures hit me hard Iknimaya and the jungles are spectacular. |
The bioluminescence! There is something special in it that awakens my emotions... :)
|
The bioluminescence. Its beautiful and mysterious. And the wildlife too. Oh and the floating mountains.
|
I love so much about Pandora
First of all, I think the freedom of riding an ikran would be amazing, I actually get so sad when I see them doing that in the movie because I know I never will be able to :( The closeness of tsahaylu, a mind to mind link, I just think that would be incredible and the sense of community that you would have as a Na'vi as well Also, the bioluminescence is incredible :D |
Direhorses at night, when all is blue and glooming. i like that best. the mysterious sounds of hidden creatures in the shadows of the night. i have been thinking about a concept of that for years. and james cameron has presented the perfect solution to hours hours hours of thinking and wondering what it would be like. :D
so in short i think i must say pandora nights. but that's only because i don;t know yet what's in the waters. :P |
my fav thing about pandora is neytiri :)
|
I could write to quite literally no end about what I love about Pandora but instead I'll just say: It's Home. :)

i feel exactly the same way Dreaming :) i feel it is like home, when i listen to the soundtrack it feels like i am closer to home :) |
The Na'vi. I should be one, Pandora is where I should be.

Despite the dangers, Pandora feels a lot more welcoming than Earth. I just wanna fly on an Ikran and watch the sun and polyphemus set in the horizon. :) |

Well, besides the beautiful sights such as the floating mountains and the waterfalls and the plains, the creatures, the Na'vi and ofcourse Neytiri I would have to say the bioluminescence. I fell in love with pandora as soon as I saw the scene after Jake is rescued by Neytiri and the forest lights up :D
|
To me it is the people and their way of life. Obvioulsy right next to it comes the physical connection of the beeings on Pandora which is deeply integrated in the life of the people and probably inseperable.
Next in line would probably be the Ikrans - gotta try hanggliding soon  |
The animals. They just look so cool. Especially the ikrans. They are my favorite.
|
Self peace, Freedom, weather, Na'vi, Ikran, absence of our society......
I guess everything over there. |
Easy.. The flying mountains or the glowing plants in the dark.. This just looks so beautiful and fascinating :)
|
Probably the Na'vi.
The mountains and the bioluminescent forest come very close though. |
Bioluminescence. Peace. Freedom, too. The absence of insanity and societal illusions. Real community and unity.
|
Just found some more bioluminescence on Earth articles: ISBC - International Society for Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence and Bioluminescent trees will replace streetlights?
I want that glowing tree ;) |
Wow, bioluminescence tree replace street lights could be so nice. That will put some nature in our artificial citys.

Imagine if we could alter the genetic(?) structure of trees to give out light. Imagine the money each year that would be saved of energy and the help we'll be giving the environment. |
Favorite Thing About Pandora
imagine how beautiful they would be
