I had quite a weird dream last night, I dreamt about coming down in some kind of drop pod on Pandora, (bear in mind I was seeing this through 1st person) I waqs a Marine, with other marines armed with assualt rifles in the drop pod, we had been dropped onto Pandora in the middle of a firefight, the thing is, we weren't fighting what I feared we were fighting... The Na'Vi were battling alongside us against whatever we were firing at, I couldn't see the target where everyone was firing their bows/guns at because it was full of smoke created by smoke grenades, I just followed along and shot in the same direction assuming there was something big behind that smoke...

The smoke started to clear but then I woke up, was nice to have a dream about Humans and Na'Vi as allies but I'm now gonna be curious about what was behind that smoke all day. O.o

Irayo. Enjoy. :)

that's some hug! I know this expression... I've seen it in a dream or two... Your friend managed to express his love & tenderness so well, A Sacred Bond, definitely, I take my hat off!

The story is... a different point of view certaintly. The only thing that comes to my mind is that yes, there are human beings a Na'vi could fall in love with - and that's a relief! :D

that's a good "photo"; too :) I just wonder why the human kid looks so scared? Or is he simply surprised? The Na'vi girl looks quite happy actually... :)

Moco Loco 07-09-2011 09:10 PM

I definitely think he's surprised. He's drinking coffee, watching TV, and wearing headphones. He seems occupied enough for a sudden na'vi hug to be a surprise. :P

apache_blanca 07-10-2011 07:51 AM

yeah, must be it. I've just imagined myself for a second in the same situation... :D he can't really see WHO is hugging him... :P

Moco Loco 07-10-2011 08:01 AM

I'm sure he knows it's a na'vi. Long arms :P

Human No More 07-11-2011 06:34 AM

I'm sure...

It just makes me wish for that to really happen though :'(

ok, since it's you who posted the pic, & since you say I am sure, I take it for a fact then :) The guy knows!

Still (altho I like it), I give my preference vote to the first pic cos it's just too familiar for me. Each pic of the two has a vote from a "third person" - imho, that's good, fair, & "the balance is maintained" :)

this reminded me of the epilogue to The Lord of the Rings, The Elven Chronicles: the legend goes that the Elves & the Humans first got to know each other when they united to fight a common enemy. Then of course they started falling in love, having children, & a whole half-Elves race came out...

& this reminds me quite a bit of NDE & Michael Newton's Soul Journey ;) there's quite a bit about "learning places" in heaven...

(did you have any NDE, or similar, Moco Loco?)

Another Pandora dream :) (some time ago). It came in two parts, one after the other. Part 1 is here.
Part 2: I was under the Hometree in an archery class. The guy who was teaching me was perfect in the clan's opinion cos he went thru the same "evolution": a skyperson - an Avatar driver - a trainee - One of the People. Me, I was in the "trainee" stage. So the guy tried to put my arms in the right position & brought his face just a wee bit too close to mine - exactly like in the scene when Neytiri was teaching Jake, when she started liking him. In difference with the movie, I didn't like it :P I hissed & gave him such a bad look that he jumped a few meters away, I kind of "beat" him with my eyes! he looked rather dumbfounded & cautiously asked what that was all about. I gave him another bad look, said: "Teach - but don't touch!" & hissed again, just in case. He looked even more perplexed, then exasperated & responded: "Look... if I am to teach you anything at all, I must touch you at least once in a while!" I pondered for a few seconds & decided he was right. :shy: So I grumpily agreed: "Yeah... all right then... but only when it's strictly necessary!"
Then I woke up laughing: just why was I so nasty? The guy was so patient, so knowledgeable, he understood my problems so well having had just passed thru the whole process... & me, hissing like a bad cat! It would be much more fitting to say "thanks", at least! & let's admit it, I did like him :shy:
(He appeared a few times since, & I tried to have better manners :P but I guess he still consideres that it is easier to tame an ikran than me... )

Near Death Experience(s). Fascinating things to read about, IMHO.

Moco Loco 07-16-2011 10:42 PM

I suppose they are. No, I have never had one. Who knows what they are, really. They could all be rubbish and we'd never know :/
