Then I dreamt about it. I had, I think, a very short dream about Pandora. I woke as a new-Na'vi (after the transferrance process) on my own at the Tree of Souls. I climbed the edge of the bowl, settled down and watched the rest of the People go about their lives and began to feel a soul-encompassing peace (with the Tree of Souls at my back at the People in front, how could I not?). The dream ended there, but since then I have been both able to meditate again and bring my mental focus to rest in Pandora while I do so. I don't know why, and to be honest, I don't care why. I am just happy that now I can! |

Arent Pandora dreams the best! :D
I remember quite vividly one dream I had about the forest. It was only a couple of days after I first saw Avatar. I remember jumping between tree to tree (dont ask me why, it's a bit weird lol) and then landing by a group of large bioluminescent leaves and actually feeling them. It wasone of the most detailed dreams of my life, they felt like wet leaves but there was sort of a coarseness to them. Freaky huh! :) |
Last night I found a new friend who was Avatar fan like me. Sadly it was all dream.
I don't know a single irl avatar fan.. *sigh* Finns have no emotions. |

that's so sad... I now know one IRL, but I'm really not sure how far it affected him and I haven't really talked with him about it or anything. |

I had an Avatar dream last night after getting some quality (12 hours :P) sleep for the first time in a week. All I remember about it was that I met Able Ryder from the Avatar game (which is strange because I never played it, only read some loose details on the wiki). I think I might have been an Avatar, too, but I'm not sure. I woke up right after but I was too tired to put it in my dream journal. >.<

I havent dreamed about pandora or na'vi :S!!!
|
I really never brought this up...but years and years before Avatar came out, I had a breath-taking dream about a bunch of helicopters, that looked like a group of dragonflies, soaring across the sun-dimmed sky in attack formation to destroy a huge base of creatures in a lush forest. A deep voice narrated this dream with "Our army will block out the sky." And then the dream ended abruptly as I woke up. For some reason, the dream frightened me to the core and I could not go back to sleep...
The dream looked just like this to make an effective comparison... Now can you imagine the Deja-Vu I had when I saw Avatar and remembered this dream I had so many years back? Give me the goosebumps... |
^heh that's cool, dreams are awesome! :D

Did you ever have a dream, a vivid one, that you always could remember, like you've been there or something. I remember having a childhood dream about the stone arches but it was vague. For years it stuck with me, like a memory but a dream, like it had a purpose to stay in my mind. The during Jake's Ikran flight that Deja vu hit me like a freight train. I was like "I remember this!". I almost stood up in the cinema because of the resemblance they had to my dream. Just one of many outstanding moments in the film. :) |
Please do tell about this Ikran dream more in depth.

I have finally had a lucid dream last night were I brought a little of Pandora into it! I was having a general dream about a carboot sale and I was driving home on the street around the corner when all of a sudden I realised I was dreaming. This coincided with what I call my totem animal, the crow/raven flying around my car. Lots of them flying around me. I got out of the car and flapped my arms and started to fly up high, over the houses. I also flew through doors and windows. I then decided this was my chance to dream about avatar and pandora, so I landed and wondered how to do it. I closed my eyes and re-opened them hoping this would do it. No luck. So I span around a bit but could feel myself waking up so stopped doing that. I was willing the people around me to turn into Na'vi and it worked! The hardest part was trying to turn myself Na'vi and I managed it to an extent, though I kept morphing into human me from time to time. It took some real concentration! I then walking on a path with bushes and trees surrounding me and my fiance appeared but in Na'vi form and then I'll have to stop there as it gets a bit graphic... But I finally did it! YES!!
|
I have lucid dreams quite randomly without even trying.. :S Somehow in the dream it just always seems to click that I'm dreaming.
There was this one dream I had some time ago, after watching Avatar but before discovering any Avatar communitys.. (AKA, when the world seemed gray to me) I was on Earth, watching the space ships arrive back at Earth after the beating they took on Pandora, I was a civillain among a lot of other civillains watching them come back and I saw Selfridge and all of his VIP's walk off the ship when it landed, and weirdly, Selfridge turned his head and looked straight at me with anger in his eyes as he walked off the ship towards the entrance of a big building, it seemed very strange as there must have been about 5,000 people there but he stares straight into my eyes... Yeah, I had that dream before I found ToS or AF... It didn't really scare me... It more freaked me out to be honest. :S |

I had a similar dream of becoming Na'vi, with Neytiri... ;) |

Oh, and when it comes to shape shifting, someone on Lucidipedia told me that simply willing yourself into it really doesn't work well. They said that a better method is to summon something like a potion that will cause you to shape shift, and then using it. For some reason it takes better that way.:S |
I can't believe how different we all are when it comes to dreams.
I have had 6 different lucid dreams about pandora without trying, and I remember all of them clearly. I was also an Avatar/Na'vi in each of them, and I was free to look around at myself and my surroundings. Then I wake up and remember them in the morning and I suddenly feel euphoric. I guess I'm lucky I don't have to force these dreams....it seems like when I do, it doesn't work and I don't get a good night's sleep. |
I had another dream last night which was semi-lucid. It wasn't on Pandora but more of my mission to become Na'vi in my dreams. I was having a dream about a theme park which then went to people waiting in line to get onto a busy cliff top. Some random man had the power to shape shift, so I then decided I could do it too. It was weird as I wasn't fully lucid but I knew what I had to do. I started running and became a badger! I didn't try changing to Na'vi as I knew could only manage a badger. So I was on this cliff top and went into an open sided tent where I asked for a potion to change me into a Na'vi. I wasn't handed a potion though, just some jewellery, but this jewellery was magical. I somehow knew I would change into a Na'vi by putting on the bangles and necklace. I did change into a Na'vi but this time it was a lot more realistic. I could tell I was taller than my previous attempt and my body proportions were more Na'vi like. I remember looking at my hands and feet and realising I had done a much better job this time. I then proceeded to jump of this cliff and swim in the water below. It was great but that's all I remember so I must have woke up! I'm getting there slowly but surely. I'll be able to feel fully Na'vi real soon. :D

Amazing :)

I have had several lucid dreams about avatar since I saw it in theaters, and they haven't stopped yet
1) I was an Avatar, again, and I was walking through a swampy area of the Pandoran jungle. I had been sent there to meet a newly discovered clan. I had to step across giant floating logs without falling in the water (I don't even want to think about what kinds of monstrous predators might live in the swamps there). I made it, and I met the clan. They were very nice, but I can't remember what they said to us. The cool thing about it was that this tribe didn't live on trees - they lived on giant lily-pad like plants with little houses made of reeds. I can't remember the rest of the dream too well, but they were very nice to me and I stayed there for the afternoon. After this dream ended, I felt somewhat happy somehow, and I still felt that way after I woke up and remembered it. 2) Again, in the Avatar. The dream started with me walking through the middle of a Na'vi village with two Na'vi. This village was unique too, because it was at a very high altitude; I could see mountaintops and Iknimaya in the distance, and there were clouds floating in the distance and sticking to the sides of the plateau where this tribe lived. One thing about this dream that was very cool was that I was able to look around freely. I looked down at my body, and for some reason, I wasn't wearing human clothes anymore. I was wearing a plain loincloth, and I had various bracelets and things, as well as a bow and arrow. I soon realized that I walking through the village to meet the Olo'eyktan, and I eventually found her waiting at the front fo the village. She had facepaint sort of like the nameless leader of the Eastern sea clan from the movie, but it was black and was painted in sharp, angled lines under her eyes and across her cheeks. She was facing away from me, and another Na'vi got her attention. I can't remember what I was supposed to be doing there, I just remember that we were going somewhere in the mountains to do something important, and it was going to entail a challenging hike/climb up the mountains. She turned to us, and said something to the other two, and looked directly at me. Her face became a fierce scowl, as she inspected me visually. I returned her scowl with a fierce glare of determination. Finally, after she looked at me for another second or two, she seemed to approve of me, and we left for our destination. When the dream ended, I was very very happy. It took me some time to remember it the next day, and when I did, a wave of ectstasy washed over my mind, and I got the shivers. 3) This one was severly damaged by several other dreams that intersected with it and sort of screwed it up, but there is one key part that I remember. Once again, in the Avatar, I was walking through a watery section of the forest. This time, it was night, and everything was aglow, of course. For some reason, I was following a very attractive Na'vi woman deeper into the forest. There was about three inches of water on the forest floor, and it ran over a bed of small pebbles. There were tiny bioluminescent plants on the forest floor, and they were making the water glow a little too. I finally asked in english "Where are we going?". She turned to me and came closer, and smiled childishly, saying "follow me" in heavily accented english. We kept walking, and then the dream sort of fell apart and transformed into a dream about something completely different. That's it for now. And once again, I'm honestly not faking these. I'm not that type of person. After I was done writing this post, I almost couldn't believe them myself. I have dreams like these all the time, but I don't usually share things like this with other people. |
I dreamed a Na'vi was lying in my bed and I pushed his tail to get him out of there because I wanted to sleep :D
|
Wasted opportunity... :(

sounds like an interesting dream!

I might as well put my dreams down. I've had two or three dreams, I can't remember. But the first was that I was in the avatar program as well. I earned my place in the omaticaya clan just like Jake. My job in the clan is to be the interpreter between the languages because Jake is still having a rough time, as well as interpreting for other na'vi vise versa. And then, all of a sudden, Quaritch has the audacity to come right into HOmetree with his gun and little breathing mask, and starts spouting off threats and stuff. and I'm like, "What the heck, dude!?" And I literally go balistic. I'm hissing like a cat, snarling and trying to literally scratch quaritch's eyes out; I'm so mad that Jake has to hold me back. And it sort of ends there, but it was awsome.
The second dream is my most favorite and the clearest to remember. it took place after the war, with everyone moving into the new hometree. As it is na'vi custome, Jake and Neytiri are making a new hamock for just the two of them. Neytiri accidentally gets twisted in it, and she's like, "Jake!" very funny. She playfully grabs Jake's riding crown thingy off of his head and they laugh. And then Jake's ikran shows up and starts licking him in the face like a giant puppydog and he screams and falls back. Later, Neytiri is confronted by one of the elder members of the clan. Its too blurry to see if its a woman or a man, but the elder tells Neytiri that she is blessed with good fortune. Neytiri smiles. Thats all I remember. But it was awsome! |

@Raiden & Tsyal Makto: you mentioned that one of the helping factors seems to have enough time to sleep - agree :) I used to battle with myself on weekends: "since it's so-&-so time I should get up" - but on the other hand why should i if I have nothing urgent to do! So I used to waste quite a lot of time on these useless battles. But when I decided: "I'll stay in bed till my body simply decides to get out" - I started having "waking dreams", some very powerful, even more so cos I knew for a fact I was awake - & could still see some awesome images. Quote:
Ha! I had smth interesting last night while doing a foot massage: I saw myself under the Tree of Souls, in the purple-pink glow, with light-green tendrils, was doing the same thing - foot massage - only that I was a Na'vi, about Neytiri's age, or maybe like her older sister Sylvany who got killed :( and my patient was also a Na'vi but I only saw his feet cos he was so completely wrapped into tendrils that were glowing incredibly strong. It was a healing session, & I knew that I should do my physical touch job - but at the same time, I was saying in my mind: "Eywa, please do your will, do what's right for this person - you know better than me". I was very serene :) i still am................................................ ......! I'll think about what to post here - something that other Tree of Souls inhabitants might find inspiring, or at least interesting. but my dreams are VERY long & full of details. Funny coincidence, last week on my Earth Pain Dream thread we talked with Fosus about sharing dreams... ah-ha! this thread seems a good place... :) |

I had a very impressive one after I saw Avatar for the 2nd time - I saw Eywa in shape! - and when I feel bad or in trouble I recall her - She definitely helps :) @Raiden: your "Eye" dream... Erm... do you want to try an experiment? It's in your bathroom, has to do with the mirror and the eyes... There are some conditions to be met: a) there must be a light coming from behind you when you're facing the mirror (a lamp on the wall, or the light coming thru the open door from the next room). b) when you face the mirror, the background behind you (the wall, the open door...) should be of a lighter shade. So that when the mirror is "misty" you'd see yourself as a darket silhuet on a lighter background. Now, after you had a bath or a shower - don't wipe the "mist" from the mirror. With the light coming from behind you, look at your face from about 1m distance... Anything special about your eyes? (or am I the only freak on this planet? I would like somebody to try it cos I want the second opinion...) |
i haven't dreamed about pandora yet. i have tried for 10 months now! :(

I like this advice from Don Juan's Teachings, see if it might work for you: "If a warrior tried to cope with a certain task over and over again, and still cannot manage it, the warrior should... forget about the task! For some time :) - "switch" your attention to something completely different, like, if you were trying to solve a computer problem - go for a walk, or watch football, whatever. DON'T think about the original task. And then, after some time - look at the task again. Maybe, while you were looking the other way, the right solution could have come to you (cos you were not pushing it)". It works for me :P If you try to dream of, erm, computers instead of Pandora... maybe one night you'll be surprised to find yourself on a flying rock ! MAYBE is the keyword of course but MAYBE it is worth it... |
my first Avatar dream
I am here again... (should I be sorry for making so many posts , one after the other, on one thread? :S)
Anyway, here goes the 1st Avatar dream (it took me sometime to decide to post it): In 2006 - 3 years before any mention of Avatar - I had a sudden vision of a world similar to Pandora. A glowing jungle – but not only, add the feelings of touch, smell, movement, sound... it was so real, this vision was following me for quite some time. When I was watching Avatar for the first time, it was a recognition feeling all the way, if I were not in a cinema full of people I would be screaming "Yes! Yes! I know this one! I've seen it before!" all the time. When I walked out, I realized - this is why I never feel right here on this planet, like I don't fit for some reason - it's because I am from some other world! The movie knocked me out for a long time, with the feeling of deep nostalgie, homesickness if you want, on one side, and "what the heck am I doing here?" on the other side. In the end, I used this method : before you go to sleep ask a question, make it as precise as possible, and ask for a guidance in your dream. Sometimes you get amazing replies :) This happened in this case. The dream was quite long and intense, but the most important moment was this: I saw a jungle similar to Pandorrean, only that the glow was more golden-purple than pinky-blue. A shimmering golden figure appeared, it was very vague but I would say it was an older man, with a girl of violet color at his side - a witchdoctor/spiritual leader/man of power and his apprentice maybe. The girl said nothing, she only smiled, and her smile was pure kindness and encouragement. The man told me: "All that you feel, see and hear is right. You lived in several of these worlds before, you were one of us, and now you are homesick. I know what you feel like. You are not alone, there are many like you on Earth. When your Earth mission is over, you'll be back, don't worry. Now, there is a reason that you are on the Earth. Try to SEE here what you SAW there (on Pandora and in this purple world). Bring the sensations together. It's all true: the glow, the tsahaylu connections, the never ending energy flow... Learn it again on the Earth". Somehow, this dream calmed me down. I look around, and try to find beauty in everything. I do my little bit for recycling. I treat living creatures with respect; when I eat I say "thanks" to plants and animals for giving me food – and promise that after I die, my body will return to the land and serve as food for other plants and animals. Little things like these. Trying to keep my eyes open, my ears, pricked up, and my glass, empty :) |

exactly, some day, i maybe dream about pandora.. let's hope!!
|
Interesting... I never dreamed of Pandora before Avatar myself, but I can understand how people can feel that they honestly feel at home there, because I feel that too... it just took Avatar for me to 'wake up' and realise what was missing.
My dreams have been very confused and vague recently, a few days ago, there was something about Avatar, but I can't really remember it :( |
I didn't tell it first, but I think I shall: about the 1st Avatar dream: I wasn't... human. Humanoid - yes, but not human. cos I was of violet colour :S :)
I was wrecking my mind for a long time - what was this world? who was I? Why was I seeing the light of the jungle - was it bioluminiscence, or maybe my eyes were different? If so, how come I lost this Seeing? How to get it back? so yes, Avatar knocked me out of myself back to the "purple & shining world". Now I am thinking: is it possible that there is another - purple - Na'vi race, living on the other side of Pandora??? If they appear in the sequels, I'll surely die! :) HNM: I know at least a couple of people who had pre-Avatar dreams/daydreams (Hunter of Glade, for instance, only that I am sad to say that his dream was scary :( I had a better luck. And Aurora painted a blue person sitting on a flying rock , and a huge planet in the sky, 10 years before Avatar!) But it doesn't really matter how it "came" to you: what matters is the feeling. Like I said somewhere, "heart has the reasons that the reason doesn't have"... :) Oliver: I am sure you will! good luck; I hope you post your dream here ;) if you feel like of course |
