I never had an Avatar related dream... And also I'm very bad dreamer; I don't dream much (about once every 2-3 months). But if I do, I usually dream future or I talk with someone who is dead in the real world (believe me, this is absolutly amazing). I ask them questions when I need help or they are telling me important messeges from let's say ''Eywa'' :) Now those visions became very rare, so I'm trying to learn LD and I'm slowly getting there :) So I hope that soon I will post some dreams here :)

wow! that's a great communication, I have it too, & I find it a very good & useful, even practical, guidance - "they" see further from "out there" ...

Interesting you mention it, btw! I finally got an Avatar CD the other day (better late than never :) ) & listened to it in a sort of meditation - & I had a right "trip" during the "Calling Clans for Union" track - I was seeing all the ancestors above & around the Tree of Souls during Jake's speech! Not only Omatikaya ancestors, but also from other Na'vi clans, & even Grace was there :) newly arrived but immediately welcome. They were giving Jake an incredible force, so it was bound to work... That vision made me think about "the ancestors talking from Eywa"...

This break of having less visions... might mean that you need to "absorb", "digest" & "transmute" the info that you already have. After that, I am sure you'll dream more - & probably "on a new level"!
Good luck & inspiration! :)

Interesting thing about this, is that I have visions only from people I knew in person and I knew them quite well... But it makes sense isn't it? You need to have a connection with the person in life to have the connection in after life :)

Yeah, better late than never :) Do you have the 1 CD edition? My brother bought it just after seeing the movie in cinema (3D) and I felled in love with this music (but I don't like ''I see you by Leona Lewis''), so my dad gave me the 5 CD edition for Christmas :) I have to say... It's GREAT! So much beautiful music there (about 5 hours i believe). It's priceless for my meditation.

souls & OST

well yes but here, "the sky is the limit" :) if you pay attention to them, listen to the messages, are aware of the coincidences in RL - then you're keeping this "channel" in "working conditions" so eventually it may "broaden" & you'll have more communication even with other souls - or even angels, spiritual guides, whatever they are called. (Only I warn you, it can be a real bother sometimes :) especially with some "normal" souls, that are not particularly enlightened...)

truth be told, I found this latter a bit dissonating with the movie - I would have preferred Na'vis singing in their language. But the Leona's OST was the only Avatar music I found on UTube, & I found the lyrics & the video beautiful. First I listened to it quite a lot, & then... the OST simply took a residence in my head & I was hearing it ALL the time, no need for UTube anymore... It lasted for half a year  then I asked it to PLEASE tell me what it wanted to tell me cos it was becoming rather overwhelming... I seriously meditated on it, & you know what, the message was SO important that I won't be exaggerrating saying that I probably lived all my life to hear just that! So blessed be Leona Lewis & OST cos it happened to be the "link"...

5 hours????? OMG! ahhh but since right now I have the 1st one, I'll enjoy it - & if Eywa thinks it's right for me to have the 5CD, she will sure guide it into my hand! :D

ToS dream

here goes another dream: A Special ToS Edition. I dedicate it to the admins :)

The RL: I found AF in July 2010, but I was keeping a very low profile there, mostly reading the others' posts & thinking of what to say that would be true for me, & right for the community. I didn't seem to get much inspiration.

Now the dream: it happened about a month later, it was something about AF, & a character of knowledge (who looked more like one of the forum administrators rather than a tsahik this time) told me that it was well &fine that I subscribed to AF, but I was not expressing myself fully, neither I was getting a lot out of there... However, there was a "special" (or did he say "more professional"?) forum that would be "righter" for me... I started arguing about how to find it, &the figure told me "leave it for now" or "wait & see".

Now the RL: about two weeks later I discovered Aurora on AF, we started PM-ing, & she mentioned ToS - "another" Avatar forum. I didn't enter it until the AF crashed one day, & then was mostly PM-ing. But then, reading other posts I got kind of more inspired, & began posting more, & even started a couple of threads.

And you know what? I do find it "more special", at least for me, & I even feel somehow "at home" here! This was definitely a break-thru in many senses. Apart from everything, I just love the background :) sometimes I log in just to see it...

I remembered this dream only about 2 weeks ago... but imho it was right!

PS - of course this is not to slag the AF off in any way, I am just saying that ME, I feel "righter" on ToS...

auroraglacialis 04-25-2011 09:13 PM

Hi, apache :D

Yeah - that rememberance you mention - there was that whole thread back on AF about people who had some experiences that felt like "I was there before" during the first viewing of the movie. For me it was that image that ended up in that painting/sketch. It was an image that was burning in my head if you understand that. I do not paint a lot, but sometimes, I have an image in my head that just comes again and again until it gets on paper. And the one with me as a "blue person" sitting on a flying rock with purple plants and a giant planet in the sky was one of these. I had a short dream about this later with my "soulmate" standing behind me and me standing at the edge (kind of like that famous scene in "Titanic"). I also had more images in my head later - one with a person living in a world that has become rather harsh, people have built large towers and tried to develop flying machines but it broke. That is an incredibly sad picture, to me it shows a bit the "flight of the Ikarus" theme. The oter one which is not on paper yet is me again as that "blue person" sitting inside a huge gearbox on a big cogwheel, some rays of light shine into it but I am somehow chained to that wheel and unable to get outside to the light. I do not really know why that is there, but it is there for about 2 years and I cannotget it out. i know that I will only get a new one, if I get it on paper, so I should do this and see what comes up next.

But that are not really dreams but something else ;)

In terms of dreams - I was trying a lot to dream of Pandora - lucid or not. But I mamaged only once to even get close:
I am part of the science team that develops Avatars on Earth and we are preparing them. Then something happens, Earth is about to die and be destroyed, so we get all that we can and move into a spaceship. There is also an Avatar there for me, but it is all a bit unfinished. We lift off and as we are high enough, Earth is destroyed behind us - but we are on our way to Pandora :P
Later that night I had one about people dealing in weapons and helicopters on a jungle planet. They have these helicopters from Avatar and other Avatar weaponry for sale - it is all pretty illegal and the people buying them will use them to do harm on this planet or other worlds. So I am becoming an undercover agent, pretending to have interest in buying them but in the end (which I did not finish), the intention was to destroy all the equipment and blow it up.

Marley 04-25-2011 09:40 PM

It's unfair, I can't dream any more like I could when the film was fairly new to me :(

No matter how hard I try, I could watch Avatar and make it the last thing I see before I close my eyes (my TV is in a good place for that :) ) ... But it's useless!

I'm wondering whether I should start practicing lucid dreaming again....

Human No More 04-25-2011 11:57 PM

Even just remembering dreams helps... I've kind of let that slip myself and been forgetting mine again recently :(

auroraglacialis 04-26-2011 02:52 PM

Dito - I let it slip also. I need to get a notebook near my hammock to keep a dream-diary, because I already forget that interesting dream I had this night. Maybe it is because it had my boss in it :P

@Marley: ^^^this (quote) could be an important key. For some reason, after I wake up (or half-wake-up) I spend some time trying to remember at least glimpses, anything at all, & sometimes get angry with myself for wasting time & wrecking my brain, saying that if it's important, i will recall it. But this effort of remembering might be precisely the key of having frequent & cinematographic dreams! In fact, I am "exercising" every morning... AFAIK many dream techniques insist on writing dreams down, so there must be something about it....

@Aurora: you "won't get a new one until you put the one you have on paper..." well it seems some kind of the "rule" in your case, so come on, go ahead! :) ("think: Fly!") they are not "dreams" - but well, call them "flashes", "glimpses", "visions"... A rose is a rose by any other name, or how the saying goes, imho, it's important that they come...
BTW! I was looking for your sketch on your profile but couldn't find it :( do you have it somewhere on ToS, or only on AF? I'll probably print it out to remind myself that I am not the only one... It was Jean-Joey's thread on AF "I feel like I lived on Pandora before..." I wonder how Jean-Joey is? It's been a while since he is out of touch... Hope he's well!

I made some sketches, too - actually inspired by yours :) I decided to "do something about my visions", &"materializing" them on paper seemed a good idea. Only that they are post-Avatar... however, I might try to draw my pre-Avatar glimpse... hm...

have you tried looking for some thing, everywhere, & were unable to find it - until you would say: "Bad luck, I think it's lost, no chance... I'd rather stop searching" - & when you stop concentrating on it, even forget about it - you suddenly find it, & probably in the most unlikely place?

This could be something similar. If you are anxious to dream about Pandora, it escapes, like water thru your fingers. But try to "loosen up", not to worry if you dream whatever other stuff... & THEN maybe Pandora will come to you in a dream!

In my case it's like: very short sleep = seeing future, very long sleep = any other. If I'm in between those two factors, I don't dream at all.

apache_blanca 05-14-2011 03:29 PM

the flying dream

Here goes another Pandora dream: short but powerful.
it was almost an exact copy of the very beginning of Avatar: gliding above the misty forest with Jake saying: "I started having these flying dreams... i was free!"
However, there were some differences:
I was seeing the forest right from above, so I must have been gliding much higher.
The mist was swirling white, & also pink-purple-bioluminiscent.
The flight was much slower so I could take in more details.
There was... a music. Not an exciting tribal rhythm like in Avatar, but sweeter, softer, more lovey... almost angelic...

& I was feeling SO FULL OF LOVE! Everything was great, perfect, wonderful... PURE LOVE. I was already waking up but trying my all to remember this feeling, the words are not enough - I just wish I had a tsaheylu to transmit it to the whole ToS - and even to the whole world, why not!

Human No More 05-14-2011 07:20 PM

We can still appreciate it even through your description :)

Lahea Atxkxeftu 05-14-2011 07:32 PM

Waiting for more of your dreams descriptions ma oeyä tsmuke :)

I'm jealous too apache_blanca. :D

I'd sure like more Avatar dreams, had one last week but can't recall much.

apache_blanca 05-15-2011 12:26 PM

ma'Naviya, I wish I could send some of mine into your minds while you're dreaming! (would be great to share the same dream, no?) ;)

Fosus, you have some amazing dreams, too! the flying ones, or the time travel... I encourage you to share some here! :) (hope the community wouldn't mind?)

Lahea: what's "oeyä"? :shy: I couldn't find it in the dictionary... (and you have a dream talent, too, altho a bit different, but great...)

Haha, yup! :) Oeyä means "my" and "mine" too I think.

I had a lot of dreams last night. No Avatar but one lucid dream in which I didn't even try to do anything that would ruin it. Just enjoyed the dream environment. It was bright, sun was shining and the view was breathtaking: A big lake with mountains behind it. I don't think I had ever been there before. The ground was grass and some mud, it felt very smooth under my bare feet so I just kept walking around the place until I lost the control. :D

apache_blanca 05-15-2011 02:10 PM

Fosus: wow! all the sensations, too! if you get to this place one day in RL, let me know :)
(and thanks for "oeyä" :) )

auroraglacialis 05-15-2011 02:57 PM

Hmm - sadly my dream recall is really bad these days (too much stress :( ), but i had one nice short scene related to this. I was walking down the gentle slope of the road leading down the huge open pit mine. There are several terraces, the slope connects them and allowed the huge trucks to drive down into the hole. All the rubble is grown over by small green plants, grass and herbs. The whole place is green but the contours are still there. Down at the end of the slope there is a tree - it is not standing in the center of the mine but at one side of it. Behind it, there are no terraces, but a cliff all the way to the top. It is not a "tree of souls/voices", but it is a green tree, that is also a sacred tree. The whole place feels a bit like a monument of the defeat of the sky people.

[while this sounds like a long one, this is only because I describe details, the dream fragment lasted only a few seconds of subjective time]

That's....
COOL! :D

But also a bit scary...

Tsyal Makto 05-16-2011 06:15 AM

I had a really cool Avatar-like dream last night. In it, scientists discovered an entirely bioluminescent jungle on a small, uninhabited island. I went with a group to explore it, and it was incredible. Green, glowing grass, purple and white trees, blue vines, red fruits, all glowing brilliantly. What my dream-self wouldn't have given to have called that place home. I think some of the Avatar score was even playing in the background. Lol.

Let's see if lightning strikes twice, tonight. :)

Fkeu'itan 05-16-2011 10:25 AM

A little while back now, I had two as well. For both of them, I couldn't quite 100% confirm theu were Pandora, but the first I had was that I was swimming in a very still and very wide river of some kind, at night... And all the water had multi-coloured plants, anenomies and all kinds of things in it... Just like the swimming scene in Avatr with Jake and Neytiri. All the riverbank was lined with jungle, and I remember that looking urther upstream, I could see a very sheer, steep mountain/cliff with jungle on top of that as well. That was such a beautiful dream... Just the feeling of the water and the freedom that it offered, not to mention the scenery... just incredible in every way. I felt such a sense of hapiness and peace after waking up and reliving the dream in my mind. :) I feel this dream was triggered by reading the survival guide before bed, and the images of there of the water sparked my imagination off into overdrive. :D

The second dream was a little different... again, can't remember if I was on Pandora, but I was in a cave system, just strolling around while it was all lit up with bioluminescence of the entire rainbow.
However... I do have a very strong suspicion that this dream flowered from the image/music combination of this track by Synkro;

I hadn't had dreams like this in... months and months, and finally having one was such a happy and moentous occasion for me. I love it when you have such experience, without even expecting to.

apache_blanca 05-16-2011 07:47 PM

beautiful dreams!
Aurora, ok, your dream was not bioluminiscent but knowing how the defeat of skypeople and the victory of the nature, & living in harmony with it, is important to you... I think it was a great dream!

Fosus: haha, if this dream becomes recurrent maybe you should really visit this place for real! ;) Wow it's impressive how it is almost exactly the place Lahea knows... :S:P

Beautiful dreams, Tsyal Makto y Fkeu-itan! Ohhhhhh I know this feeling too well - to REALLY feel that you are experiencing these worlds, so lovely that it's hard to find the words... But it is great that you carry on the feeling of peace & harmony when you wake up, this is really great. And whether it was, or wasn't influenced by something (a music, a natural scene, a movie, etc.) - it did happen, so that's the most important, imho. You Saw it. Hope for more dreams! (altho I suspect these are not really dreams but "soul journeys" - giving the feeling of an almost (?) tangible reality...)

Ahhh! Now I've remembered the "angelic singing" from 'flying above Pandora' dream... it's the very beginning of Avatar Soundtrack 'Pure Spirits of the Forest". i listened to it yesterday wondering where i heard it, only a short time ago... in that dream! mmmmm I am melting :shy: like an icecream...

Mika 05-18-2011 09:54 AM

Yesterday evening, i had being doing some meditation, and wasn't trying to have a dream/vision of Pandora, but ended up having a most incredible one, and it lasted quite a while.

I had the theme song singing in my head, and as i started to drift, found myself standing at the top of a high cliff, it was day time, and I was walking toward the edge of cliff, and was looking over down to the jungle below. I could see this large waterpool, and then suddenly it was like i was diving off the cliff, but as i dived it became like that scene of Jake and Neytire flying down the side of the cliff on their Ikran. But as we got closer to the pool, we then (as there is now two of us) that we dove from the our Ikran into the pool. At first I had felt like i started off in human form, but after coming up from the water in the pool, was Na'vi and in the pool swimming and all around on the edges was a whole community of Na'vi people. Most of this dream/vision was a whole sense of community for most parts, which i really found interesting because often my dreams are me just alone. At some parts in the dream i was walking through the jungle, and mostly it was daytime, but then it was night and bioluminencent.

But the most amazing part of the dream, was a beach scene. It was night time and this time the perspective is different, I see more like Jake and Neytire walking along a beach, beside the ocean, and its just incredible because where the waves are crashing on the shore is all glowing bioluminencent pinks .. and even in my dream .. I'm going .. that wasn't in the movie!

Then along the way it moves back to the or a waterpool, and again the perspective is different, because its like panning out, and then all of a sudden i'm like seeing this hand painting a canvas of the whole waterpool scenery!

And even in my dream/vision i do a kind of O.O wide eyed look, and when i woke up can't help but wondering if maybe i'm seeing some of the 'making' of the next movie?

It was just beautiful no matter what. And the other thing that i remember when coming out of it, was that my 'third eye' chakra was just pulsing and it was like even my real eyes were wider open for quite a while after dreaming that!

:)

auroraglacialis 05-18-2011 12:19 PM

That is an awesome dream, Mika. Especially diving into the pool as human and coming out as NA'Vi - reborn so to say. Incredible...

amazing! I've seen beaches, and/or lakes, in my dreams/meditations, too... now I am wondering even more if a good part of Avatar sequels will be on the sea/lake side? now that I've read Aurora's post, I remember a "renewal" lake, too...
Marvelous stuff!

Moco Loco 07-01-2011 11:52 PM

I really want some Avatar dreams. I've wanted them since I saw the movie, and I was so sure I'd get a bunch of them because I'm usually a very active dreamer. But no.

I have never dreamed of being a na'vi, feeling peaceful in the environment and all that. The closest I've gotten to feeling kind of like I imagine that would be is when I have dreams about heaven. I have dreams about heaven all the time, but they're not really what you would think, I guess. They always consist of me dying in some sort of way and then appearing in what looks kind of like a university.

Recently, my heaven dreams basically consist of getting to talk to people who also think Avatar is the best movie ever made. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...for-heaven.jpg
Before you guys, this pretty much never happened to me irl.

I only had one dream about being an avatar, and it was pretty awful.
How could it be awful??
Well, it was. It's not really PG, but I can say I didn't really get to enjoy anything because I was dealing with a lot of other unrelated problems. I was really angry about that one when I woke up.
I'm sure I'll have a real one eventually. :hmm:

Human No More 07-02-2011 02:24 AM

A dream of talking to people about Avatar... I still like the sound of that one, it's something I've still not had much of a real opportunity to do AFK...

Earthlover18 07-02-2011 05:11 AM

Earlier this spring I had a amazing dream about meeting a half human half Na'vi (Neytiri) dream character. She was human and Na'vi at the same time, incredibly beautiful. I really need another lucid dream, I haven't had one in about two weeks now.

misstammie 07-02-2011 06:40 AM

I actually have dreams about Avatar and Pandora. I have them ever so often but the dreams I have are mainly a bit on the romantic side most of the time. They vary back and forth as I will have dreams I am an avatar driver who falls in love with a Na'vi male or he with me. In one of my dreams I tell this Na'vi male what I really am and what I do there on Pandora. At first he is a little surprised but then realizes why I am there and isn't bothered by that fact. Then when I finally show my human form he doesn't care and just wants to be with me forever. Of course there is a lot of PDA and other things which I won't go into but that is just kind of a little snippet of the dreams I have had. I do have dreams where I am Na'vi and live on Pandora but those I don't remember all that well. Regardless, they are ALL fantastic dreams and I never want to wake up from them.LOL :embarrassed:

Here is the funny thing about these dreams as "me as a human, in love with a Na'vi" I have had. I was actually having these kinds of dreams a while back and then this artist/friend whom I met posted some artwork with a story and I was blown away by what I saw! It was like she got into my head and picked up my dream and wrote about it. Her story was about a Na'vi warrior who falls for a human. Deja vu completely! :shock:I will post the picture and the story but as a common courtesy, do not take or use her work without permission please. Irayo. Enjoy. :)

The title of picture and the story is called "SACRED BOND"

Daren and his mate(haven't named her yet lol.) I made it looking sort of like their floating in space...hey they're in an epic bond so maybe that's what it feels like XD.

This is probably the best thing that ever happened in his life. It doesn't matter if she wasn't Navi. Tsaheylu has always been a terrible experience for him. First with the Tree of Souls, the the horse his parents put him on to learn how to ride, than his lover. It had been nothing but pain for him.

When he arrived on Earth the humans were testing out a new deadly weapon. The Avatar project was a failure. It was time for a new idea that might work. It still had a while to go. Daren had been illegally smuggled to Earth for experimentation and probably breeding since they liked his looks. Nope. To make a long story short. He ended up at a sanctuary run by a rich family where smugglies like him go to live out their lives. Some of them have been horribly experimented on. But that is another story...

Anyways... he was very nervous when the human girl started to work with him. Bonding this way was deemed a great way help heal the mind and make him trustful of humans. But for Daren, being a tsaheylu-virgin kinda XD, was overwhelmed. It took him awhile to get over the initial shock that somebody can finally enter his mind.

Ironically considering his man-eating past and hatred towards humans, they had become his only real companions. He enjoyed being around them. They gave him something his own kind(save a very select few) wasn't really willing to dish out...friendship.

It's not a thoroughly tested theory if humans can permanently bond with a Navi and vice versa. But over a period of time their feelings grew for each other. They had become mates. An inseparable bond formed between them. But Daren's destiny on earth had really only begun.

only life knows. Recently, more RL people talking about Avatar are coming my way :S:) - I wish they showed up earlier! Just yesterday my stepdaughter came with a friend, they found me at ToS watching Alan's Meetup videos, & we just dived into the conversation. It was great :)
On the other side, I am just across the Channel from you. If you think of coming to Barcelona one day, whistle - we can meet & talk about Avatar till we turn blue... ;)
