Becoming Na'vi vs. Becoming Rich
The result of the old poll was 85% vs 15% when money was not a factor.
Ref: Would you become Na'vi, forgetting everything from your human life? I want to see to what degree money can affect your decision. Just assume someone is offering you a choice: either become a billionaire and remain on Earth forever or leave everything behind and become a Na'vi on Pandora. edit: Just to clarify, the 2nd option allows you and your loved ones to live as Na'vi on Pandora. btw, can the mod change the second option to "Leave everything behind (except all your loved ones) and live as a Na'vi on Pandora?" (That "Padora" was a typo :D) |
Obvious choice is obvious. :P
I'd take a Hometree over a mansion, a Pa'li over a Mercedes, and an Ikran over a Gulfstream V any day. ;) |
Money cannot buy happiness. I would take being a Na'vi over all the money in the world. The way I see it, if it was just money, I could go two ways...
1) I could turn to be super greedy, buying buying buying wanting wanting wanting... my life would turn out terrible 2) I could use it for good, I could use the money to buy things for my family, for my friends, for the world. I would try to change major things in the world that could go wrong. I could get myself a couple things, but I would keep myself in control (I would rather choose this route) but if there was a choice like this, anyone can acquire money, anyone can become greedy and selfish, but its a once in a lifetime chance to become a Na'vi. I choose Na'vi over money hands down... could my family and friends come too? |
To Stanley: you can bring your family too. I just edited my post and clarified it.
I'm aware many of the voters in the old poll who voted for "I'd stay on Earth" only because they couldn't leave their families behind, so I'm going to exclude "family" from "leaving everything behind" and see what happens. |

I just wanted to know which option the super rich might choose, because most of them have gotten so used to having others taking care of them, and they are able to satisfy their materialistic needs/wants with ease. Not sure if they like the idea of hunting for their own food. |
I would become a Na'vi. 1 billion (or any amount of $) wouldn't come close to buying the excitement and way of life of being a Na'vi on Pandora:)
|
Normally I'd take money, but given the assumption this poll makes (that Pandora is a viable option) I'd say screw the money.
|
Not even a micro-second to think about it.....Life on Pandora or a rich-cruddy life on this forsaken place? I'd join RDA just to drop them like a hot rock on Pandora...........
|
Definitley Na'vi..
I have no money on me anyway and only $4 in the bank.. So there's no likelihood of money affecting my decision, since I've survived so long without it. |
As much as I would love $1 Billion, I would have to say that I would become a Na'vi and live on the wonderful and beautiful planet that is Pandora.
|
Wow, this is such an easy choice :D
|
Lol I fail. Thought more people would chose the money. I'd totally invest in a self sufficient community and build a place where the population co-exists with nature in harmony. Pandora on earth. I love humanity <3 Why would I want to be something else? After all, from a human's mind came the wonderful Na'vi.

I know how lazy I am...I prefer a comfortable, work-free lifestyle over almost anything. Although this life-style can get extremely boring, I'm good at killing time by playing poker or reading. (unless the Na'vi also have books...) I also know I'm not into the idea of being mated for life...plus I don't think I can get as many women on Pandora anyway :D |
Na'vi. It's a hard one though, with that much money I could definitely do some great things, but I think I'd choose to be Na'vi. It's really what I want, and I'd never be able to live with the knowledge I missed the chance.
