Avatar Quotes in Your Life
 

This could be either actual movie quotes you used (explain) or funny things other people have said about Avatar, serious or not, that you've (over)heard.

Yesterday: "The movie industry has made about $40 billion since 2006, half earned by Avatar."

- Guy doing a presentation on movie profits in my Econ class, everyone actually chuckled at that (including the professor who almost never laughs at anything). That was one of about 10 Avatar references he made, since when discussing profitable films you can't not mention Avatar.

I use various Avatar quotes, like 'That's a potent mix', 'You don't thank for this', 'Ah man, that is just wrong...' 'Go back. You should not be here'. Also, when I saw my second youngest sister recently, I said 'you are liek a baybee, making noise, don't know wut to do' which she then copied and keeps repeating :D

I use "Thats a potent mix... gives me the goosebumps" "Hisss" (I think three-fourths of the community can agree with me on that one), "Masks on!" and sometimes mix Na'vi in with my statements... aw crap I just used a good one last night that I just threw into a conversation, but I can't remember what it was... if I think of it I'll post it up but it was awesome.

Theres also a guy in my lab group at college named Jacob, but we all call him Jake, so I call him Jake Sully in the accent that Mo'at calls Jake Sully

I hiss at times. My husband and I text each other saying "I see you" and I have caught myself at times saying, "Oh man, that is soooo wroonngg!"

Mostly, I just listen to my friends saying, 'Avatar sucks' etc. I won't elaborate but I have to say that I just laugh at them nowadays. They are so stubborn that I can't change their opinions.

I once heard people talking about tsahaylu in a shop. One of them said 'So when they put their ponytails together, it's like sex?' and the other replied 'I think so. But what is it when they join their ponytails with the animals? Bestiality'.

Imagine this happening in a broad Scottish accent between two butch guys. I was laughing so much I couldn't explain it to them.

"You maybe out but you never lose the attitude" :P i said that to myself and to my team during a football (soccer) match last friday in the halftime :D

At my school we got some crappy workstations to do work in Revit MEP, and needless to say it's common to crash. Whenever I experience a crash my reply is now "Outstanding" said the same way Jake does in the movie:war: And on a positive side note, my teacher loves the movie and refers to it as The Avatar which is good for a chuckle:D

When I went to a barbecue the other day, I was drinking Vodka and coke and to my utter shock, one of my friends said to me "Thats a potent mix", grinned and went off to get something from the fridge. I was really pleasantly surprised that either a) i've talked about it to them so much they are beginning to pick things up off me or b) one of my friends actually genuinely likes it as much as me... :)

I've really taken to the one in my sig---And there has been lots of "that's Soooo wrong" & "you don't thank for this" in my daily vocab...Just thinking about this topic makes me grin :D

The closest thing I have to this is when I'm trying to get my sister in the car in the morning so I will not be late, I shout in a sort of Captain Price (Modern Warfare) voice "We. are. leav.ing!" (Periods for gaps in the words) and also "Hold on don't let go!" when I'm taking a turn at high speeds. No Avatar quotes though... :(

Tonight my parents weren't home, so I was in my room practicing with my rave gloves, and I was thirsty so I walked into the kitchen, where my 14 year old sister is putting something away in a cupboard, when right when I went to the fridge something fell out of the cupboard and shattered on the floor. As soon as I heard that I spun around and shouted, "Don't shoot! Don't shoot, you'll piss it off!" My sister looked up at me and asked, "what the heck are you talking about?" I continued, "It's a territorial threat display, don't run or he'll charge." My sister said, "Is this Avatar?" and right then I put up my arms, screamed, and ran towards the glass. It was freakin awesome

Awesome. I wish I was there to see it! :D
