Pandora fading away
It was an idea to leave avatar alone, and then come back to it in order to capture it's essence that captivated me that first time watching, but in that withdrawal i seem lost clinging onto these forums through the community to capture it again, and that has worked, but prehaps its the long absence not watching the movie that has got to me, its a curse waiting for the release, this waiting better have been worth it :D

I'm sure it will come back... just like taking a break from the forums. I'm for sure ready for its release next week!!!
:D |
I'm sure it will... 10 days to go...
|
It will definitely be worth it. I havent seen it in a good while now and saw a commercial for the dvd here the other day. I probably hit rewind and watched that commercial for about 20 min before I watched anything else. I cant wait for the DVD!!!!! We will return to Pandora!
|
of course it will be worth it! look forward to the great moment of victory when you own your own copy.. quality.. wathcing it when you want.. and this wonderfull homebase to share your thoughts about it... *thumbs up*

It will absolutely be worth it. :D
I'm really, really looking forward to seeing it again, despite my next viewing being my 20th. :) |
I'm sort of mad that I have to wait a couple extra days. I wanted an autographed bluray so I cancelled my release date delivery from amazon. It will be worth it though.
See you on Pandora. |
YES--I'm waiting for Amazon to leave me gifts on my doorstep---I've ordered the DVD by it's self & the BluRay/DVD set for my collection.....I can now look at Star Wars, Star Trek & AVATAR in one area of my study---nice to see a couple of moviebox posters & the Coke Zero 3D glasses---they are lonely & I'm getting them company as fast as I can..................
|
I found that after not getting to see it for a couple weeks, even after 12 or 13 previous viewings, it seemed even stronger.
Definitely know what you mean about feeling it slipping away though... I listen to the music fairly often to remind myself, and come here of course. Is it a bad thing that I can listen to the full score and almost recite the entire script alongside it? Hmmm... Anyways, what I was going to say is that it'll only fall away if you let it. Have faith, my friend- Avatar, PAD, this whole experience- will always be a part of you. |
Not a bad thing at all---I too have the full score & can almost do a line-for-line with the music...I listen to it to & from work...really helps settle my mind before & after.
I have the "official" CD & HATE it for all the omitted parts--the worst offender was not having the final music before Leona Lewis sings....why they would omit some of the most important music is totally beyond me.... I'm counting the seconds to my copies from Amazon hitting my door...CAN'T WAIT MUCH LONGER!!!!! I will sit in front of my computer monitor (26") with headphones on (at very loud volume) & enjoy my return to Pandora....... |

I've also noticed the same of the soundtrack. I've been unable to stop listening to it (whenever I'm not in class, I put it on, and I've seriously been tempted to play it in class), but it recently seemed to lose a lot of its effect. I forced myself to stop listening to it for two days straight. When I clicked the play button again ... wow ... I was in tears the entire way through. :) |

I agree with you about the official soundtrack. I was always really disappointed with some of the parts that somehow didn't end up getting there. I mean, they have some of the main ones, with the exception of that part before Leona Lewis's song, but I really enjoy a lot of the 'background' ones as well. It's all about the immersion. I may have to wait longer for my viewing... I'm thinking of ordering the Blue-Ray version that's signed by the creator of the Na'vi language! Quote:

Some small video stores already have the movie available for rental.:P:):P

Pandora in it's physical form is faded a bit, but it's always been in me due to every little peice of technology I have has a background of Avatar on it. 120 wallpapers cycling every 30 minutes on my desktop. 314 pictures of Neytiri I can choose from for my Itouch wallpaper (20 I made for the ipod, custom made). I even have Zoe all over my Laptop, reminding me that such a beautiful does exist, it's a thought the helps me get through my day among other things.
I would say hold the things you love most to be sacred. Never exploit and only enjoy in rare moderation. I only listened to the soundtrack 3 times, watched the movie about 10 times (it was hard resisting myself to watching the trailers for the movie), and I take great care of my glow in the dark Avatar t-shirt (I clean it separate from all my other cloths). |
