Favourite Childhood Videogames...

I myself grew up with a Sega Megadrive in the house, so games like Sonic 3 and Ecco the Dolphin are the classics that I still play today. I also grew up playing the greatest FPS series of all time, (in my opinion anyway :P) the Marathon trilogy.

What about the rest of you?

Human No More 03-15-2010 02:57 AM

I suspect I may be a bit younger (or got into gaming later) - games I grew up with were PS1 era... Favourite though, has to be the Crash Bandicoot games! :D

N64 was a great game system back when I was around 8 years old. I remember playing Mario, Banjo Kazooie, and Smash Brothers on that game console. I later grew up playing games like Grand Theft Auto (every one before Vice City, if I'm not mistaken) and Ratchet and Clank on the Playstation. The last games I've played were Smash Brothers Brawl and Twilight Princess (Zelda) on the Wii.

ProfoundHeart 03-15-2010 04:15 AM

The classic N64 games such as Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart.
Loved those games.

Then came my first GameCube, then Xbox, then Xbox 360..
Now, my game is Halo.

Woodsprite 03-15-2010 05:40 AM

Gotta be all sorts of DOS games including Dune 2 and Redhook's Revenge. Later got a PS1 when I was 9 and played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1... those were my favs then, back in the ole' 90s.

Eltu 03-15-2010 06:16 AM

I grew up with DOS games as well actually :D

The game I definitely played the most was Descent - a 3d shooter, I can still remember it to this day ;)

I was addicted to the Z-Spectrum for a while which took so long (casette games) to load that the tape would run out and you would have to try to load it again.

The first working game I actually had a full on obsession with was Alex Kidd, which I completed TOO many times to count.

I loved Zany Golf (Amiga).

Many, many, many games on the other consoles following.

Davy Jones 03-15-2010 09:09 AM

Spyro.. that brings back memories :P
Anyways, the game(s) I played most would probably be the pokémon series, there wasn't a single person in my whole school who didn't play it :P

R-D-A 03-15-2010 01:45 PM

IkranTswonya 03-15-2010 04:13 PM

I remember playing Donkey Kong with my dad on a Colecovision. Later, we got a NES, and I used to love the various Super Mario games ... and Duck Hunt. :P

Man I remember back when all you had to do to fix the game messing up was blow into it! ROTFL! :D

Pa'li Makto 03-18-2010 05:35 AM

Oh yeah, then I realised that you stuff it up further by putting moisture into it
:S
Now you get scratches in disks by just touching them.
With that said N64 games had heaps of glitches,
especially the zelda games

Gunny 03-18-2010 05:42 AM

Thats true, but man was that N64 awesome! I still have mine and play a few games on it everyonce in a while :D

Apollo 03-18-2010 05:51 AM

I played Pokemon Stadium. Hehe, I brought Mew and Mewtwo into a fight (gave it to a friend, I had 5 of them on my Blue version). I'll remember that fight, it lasted for awhile; we kept on casting heals on ourselves, it never ended!

I won though, the deal was that the winner receives a soda. He did get me a soda, but it exploded in my face, that prick!
