@prowler: Thats the greatest scene in cinematic history! During the entire movie, i was looking forward to when she would see him as a human! I can't even describe the feeling i had when i first watched it! Two lovers from two diffirent worlds! Finally face to face! :)

Only downside was that I wanted them to kiss in that scene! ^^ Couldn't Jake have hold his breath a little! =P

I'm pretty sure they are. I have a HD disc. :shock:
I use windows media player to get screencaps but there is no way for me to slow the frame rate down to take screencaps. So some may look a little blurred because the characters are in motion. I have other screencaps on the previous page.

Couple more anaglyphs I made today, and some of my better ones so far. I'm perfecting my process. :) Get out the 3D glasses and be sure to view them fullscreen! :) I wish I didn't have to B&W-ize these to make the 3D really pop, but believe me: When you've got one cyan lens and the subject (a Na'vi) happens to be all cyan, you may as well just close one eye! :P

A bit small but it looks about the same quality as your Avatar pic Prowler. I'm pretty sure when you make the video size bigger the quality is also reduced.

No, prowler's are all full HD. Media Player doesn't really have a proper frame-grab feature, so you're stuck with whatever the dimensions of the window are. On top of that, it doesn't have a frame-advance feature, which makes it difficult to find the sharpest frames. Try VLC Media Player. It's a little clunky, but it has frame-advance and can save full-HD frames regardless of how you've got the window sized. And it runs on basically everything. Two thumbs up!! :D (I think it's what most people on the thread are using.)

...how on earth are you getting HD shots from VLC? My caps when I use VLC reall aren't HD at all.

It has to be set to screencap at 1920x1080. Sometimes I try screencapping with BSPlayer, and they come out quite small because I don't have it set to the right capture resolution.

Try checking the settings.

It's been so long since I installed VLC that I don't recall whether or not I messed with the settings. That, and I'm primarily doing this stuff on a Mac, and the Mac version has a bunch of different default settings. But I definitely *do* get 'em at 1920 x 1080! :)

Now this is a great forum, been looking for a good one for a bit that had this kinda postsas i'm a bit of nut about Neytiri images.. i'm slowly working out how to capture stills from my Blueray set. as I've got the Special Collector's Edition ( Official Number 0699 of the 1000 released in the UK) once i work that out then i'll try and post some. =)

funly enough i'm just in the upper 80's as far as pages, hahahaha
some nice pics for sure, but i'm actually leaning on dropping my BD to raw as i have the space to do so , last i checked raw blueray is at the rez of the movie renders/cams, which is well over 5000 horizontal. but will see just gotta work out best option :)

:D If only glasses-free 3D computer monitors were "the norm." Some day! :) Still no 3D TV for me. By the time my old LCD breaks, though, 3D should be a lot cheaper! :)
