What Happened???
 

I left Avatar Forums for about 2 months (because of exams and spring break and just general life) to find that a lot had changed.. and i have just recently found ToS :D (thank god) anyways im glad to be back in a place that is more like a community :D but im also wondering what happened? why did people leave Avatar forums??

i didn't leave Avatar Forums :P , i know it's a great site and an awesome community too, but i feel more comfortable here :D hehehe, hope u have good times here and meet a lot of friends :) welcome btw ! :D

Well, a lot of what happens is in the past now and deserves to stay there, but what I will say is that we wanted to get back to how things used to be, with a friendly community :)
I'd say we managed it, hope to see you around here more :)

There has been some issues between the users and the owners of the AF, and some arguments happened which led to a split in forums, although some use both, I use the ToS... this is just like what I was on back when in AF glory days... I feel at home here... back on AF recently when these problems were happening it just didn't feel like home... then I found ToS, and have never looked back... welcome to the family :D

I belong to both............but I see a lot less activity on AF from what it was 2 months ago...And like most, I've decided to spend more time here at ToS.....it really feels more like home. :)

Agreed Pa'li. I wish he'd come back too :( Maybe someday he will.......someday.

I don't think Shatner is coming back..I hope our old friend Txantsulsam decides to come over here though.

**** happened, and was mostly resolved. Everybody at least tolerates each others presence now for the most part.

i am still on both of them too, but i like this one a little more.. there are friendlier people.. there are no trolls and such on here.. and no jerks LOL

I'm on both now. The members here are definately friendly, but I actually spend most of my time on AF. I feel like people keep suggesting AF has no community and is full of trolls or something. Maybe it was when people left - I definately noticed some negativity during those weeks, but now, its really nice. There's still definately great people on there and its a strong community. The only things I can think of to answer "what happened" are the skin change and the mod change. The skin definately sucks, and Lon is causing all sorts of problems. Still, its a good place. I mean, the people are really nice. Then again, I haven't spent much time here, but I wouldn't say AF is a bad place now.

i'm not trying to say AF is a bad place don't get me wrong, i just feel more comfortable here :P

I spend more time here now than on AF but to me it lost many of the good discussions that there was when I first joined. That is why I joined ToS. I still hang around on AF and post a little here and there but not as much as I do here.
