it's not full HD 3D read specification of it xd it's cheating you will get two pictures with 720 p and they say it's HD after all when you add that pictures it is but thats cheating nothing more (to be more precise each of yours eyes will only receive 720 p stream, down scaling ftl ). *me hugs his full 3d HD*

Btw LG said that real full HD 3d pvr will be in 2012 2k res and with this it will be able to display two streams 1080 p

Btw 2 Samsung and sony preparing massive ad campaign to show in it that PVR fault xD

maybe but that 2k panel will only get 1080 p stream so it will be upscaled.
PVR tech has dead end, but it's cheap.

Atm Samsung and sony working with RealD to create proper passive full HD 3d but thats future. maybe till then Oleds will be cheaper

That depends on what you mean by 2K. In many contexts, "Full HD" and 2K mean exactly the same thing. 2K refers to the *width* in pixels, not the height.

Of course, the cool thing here is that we seem to be moving away from the silly shutter glasses and toward the theater-style polarized glasses. That's goodness. I've made no plans to buy a 3D TV yet, so perhaps by the time I'm ready, these will be cheaper and higher-res.

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for the glasses-free kind, however. Everything I've seen so far has just been the video equivalent of a lenticular print. Not especially awe-inspiring.

Interesting. I got excited for a second until I read it wasn't 1080. I'm already close to having the funds to get my 3D tv bundle. I think I'll stick with Panasonic cuz they are partnered with Avatar and you get it free in their bundle. Avatar is like $100+ just for the 3D blu ray!

I have nothing against Panny, but I don't think the Avatar bundle is a reason to go with them. Pick the TV you like, and if it's not a Panny, pay the extra $100 for the 3D Blu-ray on eBay. The TV is $1500-2000, after all.

Last week, my three-year-old son took a toy baseball bat (padded) and belted our five-year-old Sharp 36" non-1080p LCD a few times right in the middle of the screen. I was horrified and first, but then secretly began to hope he'd broken it. Alas, when I turned it on, it was fine. Sharp builds 'em to take a beating, I guess!

For 2d it is full hd 1080 p , only 3d is downscaled, ( but selling point of 3d tv is 3d )

And here Avatar 3d bd from 'auction' is for about 30-40 euro

Well I did alot of research over the months and there's one Panasonic tv that had rave reviews on Amazon. It was a 50" Plasma which, then, was on sale from $2099 to $999. I wasn't able to get the funds up in time so I let that deal pass by (stupid!) but now it's on sale for like $1200 last time I checked. I've had alot of Panasonic items in the past and they all lasted a very long time so I kinda like the brand.

I don't shop on ebay anymore. Ebay isn't what it used to be. It's mostly now just stores selling their stuff at regular prices.

Definitely depends on what you're after, but you're right about change. I have a lot of technical hobbies and am constantly selling off pieces of one project to fund the next. I don't know what I'd do without eBay! Plus, the Avatar Blu-ray is "not for resale," so only illegitimate "stores" on eBay (and similar places) will sell it.

Yeah I used to sell stuff on ebay ALOT years ago. I'm an avid jeeper who buys jeep parts, uses them, then upgrades so I sell the old parts. I used to sell em all on ebay but the fees and all that were a turn off and people bid really low on items that were worth much more. Nowadays I sell stuff on jeep forums and craigslist.
