I expect that goes for most people. It might still be fun to have as a place to gather in the event of a rare summer rainstorm, though!

It would be good to start taking inventory of available equipment so that we know what people have to buy. Or, even more importantly, what people *don't* have to buy! Again, I have some small tents to lend out, and they're not cheap, so I'd really hate to see people buying stuff like that if it can be borrowed. Even if people do have tents, coolers, etc., it would be great not to have to bring all of them.

I may have a large tarp to bring to cover the common area.

Anyone up for another IRC meeting? Seems like we have some things to discuss as well as I think we can reserve the group site now that it is 2012.

Hi Aketuan.

Seeing the pictures of your recent hike has got me in the mood so please provisionally put me down for this.

It sounds great and I'd love to meet everyone but other commitments may get in the way.

How soon would you need a definitive YES?

Definitely, although I'll need enough notice if it's going to be at 6am again

PHEEWWWWWWwww...*cough,cough*....Errr-hmmm...*cough*...

Sorry, just thought I would blew the dust off this thread

We're getting to the point where we need to start think about booking the shuttle from SEA-TAC airport to the campsite.

For the shuttle there are two bus size options up to 12 seats and another one up to 24 seats. In order for me to book it the right one I need to know how many will be needing a shuttle from the airport.

I know there are definitely 3 of us so far with the potential of 11 (looking at the prospective attendee list on www.AvatarMeet.com)

So, if you are looking to do the Camping trip only (not the backpacking part) and would like to take the shuttle can you please post here or drop me an email/PM/visitor message to let me know as soon as possible. Irayo.

Once I have an idea of numbers then I can look into booking the shuttle.

I look forward to the mad rush of responses! Hehehehe.

Alan

I definitely need a shuttle and am not doing backpacking. I thought there would be more than 11 of us, but if not, I guess the smaller size would be efficient after all.

Kaltxi Moco

Well when I looked at the AvatarMeet list of folks going a fair number will be doing the back packing bit too. So the will obviously be finding their own way there.

I just counted up those who are going only doing the camping part or had question marks against them.

I'd like to book the shuttle as soon as possible so it one of the jobs crossed off the list of my bog roll list of things to do! Hahaha It also ensures we have a shuttle before he gets too busy as it will be the height of the tourist seasons.

Atayo and I are car pooling up from Phoenix, and we are not going on the hike, plus our motel is only 200 yards from the rail station.

I'm definitely in for the shuttle, and not backpacking.

Well according to those figures, seems you'd be renting the smaller bus anyway.

If we just do the small one, we have to go in the afternoon, my flight arrives at 1:55pm, and I'm sure other people might be arriving in the afternoon.

Just playing catch up!

@ Moco - you make it four so far. I suspect what we may need to do is go for the small shuttle as it seems it will fulfill our needs and limit the numbers to that. Sounds like a plan anyway.

@HNM - I already got you down for the shuttle. No worries about the time. CyanRachel and I will be arriving at about 15:30 in Seattle from Washington. The intent is for the Shuttle to depart SeaTac airport not later than 17:00.

I suspect things will end up getting firmed up closer the date, but if anyone knows now that they will need the shuttle for the camping trip do shout!

Alan
