Default James Cameron to direct film of The Informationist after Avatar sequels

Not exactly bad news or anything, I guess, but as someone who was pretty excited when JC said he'd want to work on Avatar indefinitely, maybe a tiny part of me is sad that something else has his focus.

Also, this article says Avatar 2 will be in theaters in 2015 one year earlier than I thought at least, not sure if I'm behind on the news or what.

If he is going to keep funding Environmental causes, he will need to keep up a positive cash flow after Avatar runs out.

I don't think cash flow will ever be an issue for as long as he keeps making films.

He's probably got enough from Avatar to make many, many films.

Looks like that Battle Angel film is still shelved then, I guess.

To this day I never understood why of all the movies to make, why Battle Angel Alita.

Was the manga that good? I remember seeing the anime and thinking it was generic 80's anime. I'd call it Sci-fi channel Saturday Morning fair, and I'm hoping nobody here knows what that means, because it's not a complement.
