Avatar director James Cameron is taking his own time on the film's much-awaited sequels but he assures the wait will be worth it as he makes some bold claims about the upcoming films.

"I can tell you one thing about them," Cameron said, when asked about the new films' storylines, in an interview on Wednesday, 26 November with Empire. "They're gonna be bitchin'. You will s**t yourself with your mouth wide open."

I was just about to post something about this! But anyway, I'll make sure to bring new underwear when I see the movie.

Every time I read that I think Avatar 2 is going to be a vaudeville style musical. Because while I will probably be amazed at Avatar 2 like I was at the first, I can't think of something positive that would make me **** myself with my mouth wide open.


That's...... that doesn't strike me as a positive way of describing something.

I'd consider it a positive way to describe a roller coaster or really intense rides in general, but it is a weird way of describing something as long and complex as a movie.

I am now trying and failing to imagine Sam singing.

The visuals of Avatar got my attention, but the spiritual and emotional messages captured my heart. I would be more encouraged if Cameron addressed those than the eye candy.

I'm very happy to see that JC is amped about the sequels, I so can't wait to see the final product and return to the amazing Pandora!

Y'know what I read is the reason he's been taking so long on these (when he originally planned to come out with a sequel in 2015) was because he was actually researching even more technology for the sequels.

I don't know about y'all, but the effects from the first movie, in a lot of ways, still haven't been surpassed by multiple studios. If Cameron is going to break through with effects even more groundbreaking than the first movie, him saying "you will s**t yourself with your mouth wide open" is not far from reality.

History tells us that Cameron won't fail with the visuals. Let's hope he doesn't spend the whole time focusing on that though. lol I want to see what else Pandora has to offer. All the different flora and fauna as well as the differing cultures of the Na'vi clans is something that is really worth exploring in my book.

Now they are saying we is working with a company to really have the sequels be in 3D without glasses, JC will never stop pushing the limits it seems

someone at Empire has been hitting the free-drugs dispensary, JC does not talk like this...at all. this is a guy who designed, built, tested, and dove his own submersible to the bottom of Mariana's Trench, nearly 35,000 feet deep. as a former submariner myself, i am very much impressed by that feat of engineering and depth excursion survival, and with a high defintion film of it, to boot. no, JC does not talk like that. invalid pile of written frak.

I read somewhere that the second film "Avatar 2" is coming out to the movies at the end of 2018, this year. I can't wait much longer, how much more breathtaking is JC going to make this film? I read that he just finished the script at the beginning of this year. Shooting will take another year, probably....
Does anybody know anything more accurate about timing, please?!
