I have the same problem, the screen just goes like a dark green/blue colour, just the IRC chat part of it. It has the irc.awardspace url loading down the bottom, but thats it, I've left it on that screen for hours and it just refuses to load. If I want to access IRC I have to go through A.F.

It seems that there is currently a problem with the website that is hosting the IRC web client. Thorinair, who has it, is currently offline. Sorry for any inconvenience
It should hopefully be back up tomorrow

I have installed a new IRC webclient. It's in the navbar at the top "IRC Chat"

It appears to function fine, however, I would still strongly recommend a real IRC client
