Default If you could a future Earth to live in which one would it be?

Let's say some Gofd like being like Q for example appears to you and gives you the following choices.

1. To live in Star Trek universe in the 2100's (Enterprise Era)

2. To live in Babylon 5 universe in the 2100s as well

3 To live in Avatar Earth in the 2100's as well

Oh and let's add that Pandora exists in all this universes as well just so you so don't go on the tangent of choosing a screwed up Avatar universe Earth just on the grounds that Pandora would only exist there.

So which universe do you prefer?

I'd say the Star Trek universe, definitely. The Avatar universe sounds attractive in that there are, well, Avatars, but unless I was actually guaranteed a chance at one its downsides seem too many to be worth it.

I'm a Trek fan, but that aside, the Star Trek universe has two tremendous advantages. For one thing, humanity actually gets things right -- Earthlings' attitudes in Star Trek are quite a bit better than what prevails now, and certainly far better than the Avatar universe's Earth. For another ... by the 22nd century, they've got Warp Five! At top speed, it'd take just over twelve days to get to Pandora.

Yes the Avatar universe has way too many downsides hence this thread, now I did not add for example the Stargate franchise as much as I love it because that one takes place in the present and there is no way to tell how a universe in which present day society secretly has space faring tech would evolve, which is why I opted for trek and B5 both far better choices than Avatar universe Earth. The only downside with Babylon 5 universe Earth is that Humans in that universe are extremely xenophobic not all of them but many of them certainly.

Having said that If a such a secret program existed I'd sign up the moment I could!

I'm not even gonna reply to Devourment's obvious trolling post, he/she might as well could have posted he/she wished to live in Nazi Germany.

I think that is not up 'till the 24th century that they become a totally cashless society and even then while in other worlds they do use so called Credits to buy stuff whatever that is.

And the problem is not money but the love of money. Money was just created to simplify what up till then had been bartering which is used even in the most primitive of societies.

A lot like ST earth except that is more of a hybrid Capitalist/Socialist society and the Terrans are pretty suspicious and Xenophobic of other races, still they are the ones that pave the road for the creation of the Interstellar Alliance in the show.

Here is a glimpse of New York City in that future with clean skies and flying cars that obviously do not run of fossil fuels all over the place.

The scene is a dream Sheridan has thanks to Galen the technomage speaking to him about a possible future holocaust cast upon humanity involving the Centauri. It's from the Lost tales DVD.

I'd say Star Trek. I don't really know Babylon 5 either.

Trek. That's as close to a Na'vi society as your going to get short of actually being one.

I'm not entirely sure what a Babylon 5 society entails either, an explaination would be nice.

But yeah, I voted for Star Trek as, as many others have said, the Avatar Earth has just too many faults. If I were guaranteed to escape it for Pandora under the RDA, it would get my vote hands-down, but there is obviously no guarantee of that.

Also there's seems to be very little racism in Trek universe, all species work together (bar Romulans, Klingons and Tholians) and there's generally an understanding of different races. Sure Star Trek was the first show to air an african-american woman, Uhura (sp?).
