All this time it was just us. Consider the world throughout all the past years: boundaries always changing, new enemies and new allies appearing, constant war and peace periods, rise and falls of empires...
Then you see this; and realize it hasn't ever changed since we're on it. Everything has always been in our heads. Just there. Culture, relationships, knowledge, conquests, hatred, friendship,... Perhaps we overvalue things that don't have such importance. Perhaps we should just begin to live. --- A brief thought I've been thinking over these days I wanted to share.

Um, plate shifts, glaciers, comets, volcanoes...
I think the world has been changing plenty before humans.

But I mean that we are not what we have in our heads. The world is just what we've got in front of us. Unfortunately we act in consequence of what we think, not what we see.

You're right. We're just insignificant people on one planet, which doesn't even register in the scale of the galaxy, which doesn't in the scale of the universe.
Everything is just us, but it's both ways. Everything bad - war, hate, religion - but then again, everything good. Friendship, understanding, beauty, love... It's all just us.
