I know this topic has been brought up before, but we've gotten new members of the family, plus you may have gotten something new since we last discussed it.
Here's my list... - I cannot hate any living thing - I do not judge anyone - I do not kill any living thing on purpose (small bugs I don't see) or anything for the soul purpose of killing it (If there is a bug inside the house I'll spend a little extra time louring it into a cup to release it outside than killing it, if I go out hunting with my dad and a few friends, I plan on eating anything I shoot with respect - Avatar is on my mind constantly - Neytiri is on my mind constantly - I release my emotions more (if I feel like crying then I'll cry, still not publicly though) - I treasure beautiful things (If I see an amazing sunset I'll pull over and watch it) I'll come back with more how about you aytsmukan si aytsmuke? |

I don't see anything the same.
I cannot make things I used to do remorseless. I feel bad when I reply an insult. I have the urge of escaping from this city to the green. I am decided to strengthen myself. I realized the nonsense of everything and I am forced to seek a meaning for my life. I feel connected to something (too strange to talk about it, really) And I found ToS, which the best of all

Tsmukan, you have asked a question that will take me a long time to answer... Well here goes! These aren’t in any particular order…
I am not afraid to talk about my emotions. I’m not really sure why I started feeling this way.. Perhaps it was that Avatar affected me SOOO much I just had to talk about it to someone that understands before I exploded. I was getting no support and home with friends and family. Finding Avatar-Forums was a great blessing that allowed me to do this. I have grown so much since my first Avatar viewing, and look forward to being able to continue my personal journey with the members of Tree of Souls and Avatar-Forums. I never knew I could have such a crazy attachment to a movie character, namely Neytiri… Yes, we all simply adore Neytiri don’t we? I am as addicted to Avatar as I am to Neytiri… maybe even more! Her love of nature, her powerful personality, her independence, her beauty… it is all intoxicating and has overcome so many of us. I have a new appreciation for life. As ma tsmukan Stanley has said, I feel a greater appreciation for living things. I have always hated to see animals killed or hurt, but now it affects me so much more.. I feel I have Neytiri to thank for this. Her devotion to life has helped me develop a strong bond with all living creatures. I have a new appreciation for our earth. Why is it that I didn’t appreciate what we have more in the past? I think Avatar helped me realize really what we have to lose. In Avatar, earth has all but died and for humans to see what once was or may have been, they need to travel to Pandora. We do not, we have a beautiful planet all around us. We all must do what we can to protect it. We all know the destructive power of humans through what the RDA did in the film and based on the oil spill in the gulf. We can so very easily destroy our planet and all its natural beauty. I notice so much more about our world. I take more time to notice the magnificence of life. Plants and animals are able to adapt to the most difficult of environments. How can we not be fascinated with it? Why do humans not appreciate what has taken hundreds of millions of years to evolve? We are in many cases wiping animals and plants off this planet that would have otherwise survived for millennia to come. Human made disasters affect me much more emotionally than ever before. Back to the oil spill in the gulf. I have shed tears over this on several occasions. It’s hard to find any good news in all of this. There is no way we will stop needing oil, but perhaps the governments of the world can take steps to make the extraction much safer… I’d rather it not even come to this. I wish we could just do away with it, but that isn’t very realistic. I only hope that we can continue to seek out alternate fuel sources to fulfill our lust for power. The sun provides more power than the human mind can comprehend… hopefully we can become much better at utilizing it. I REALLY hate how the US was formed… Wow, this is another subject that has caused me to shed tears on several occasions. This was something I hated well before Avatar, but has been heightened so very much since my first viewing. I realize that I would most likely not exist if the early settlers weren’t so successful at taking the America’s away from the American Indians. It’s just sooo very tragic that something that existed for millennia upon millennia to be destroyed by what I call home. I REALLY hate how much our economy and way of life is affected by our lust and ‘need’ of fossil fuels… This is something again that I have talked about several times in this post. Our easier way of life is destroying our planet. I am taking action where in the past I would only ‘think’ about it. I’ve volunteered for the Habitat Protectors of Yosemite Yosemite National Park - Habitat Protectors of Yosemite (U.S. National Park Service). I plan on spending many of my summer weekends up in Yosemite doing my part. I have also planted several trees due to my newfound need to give back to our Earth. I also am constantly looking for other ways that I can make a difference. I am rethinking my career choice at 30. I've spent six years of my life in Trade Marketing for a poultry company. I have earned an AS degree in IT, and BS degree in BA, and am half way through grad school... Because of all the above, I am rethinking my career choice. I hope that my activities this summer will help me understand what I really want to do with my life. I care more about my mental and physical health. I have never been someone that works out on a consistant basis. I have however been working out for 2 weeks straight, jogging almost everyday. I started out not being able to run half a mile without stopping due to pain. I am not up to almost 2 miles a day without stopping. I am seeing progress that I never saw before. I am motivated and feeling great. To me mental health is directly related to physical health. If you feel better physically, you will feel better mentally. Thank you James Cameron. You have awakened my soul. Oel ngati kameie aysmukan si aytsmuke

Great ones everybody! Continuation...
- My dream girl has been placed just out of my reach (Neytiri) she is perfect I find abolutely no flaw in her - Pandora has given me a new place to imagine myself on - I found Avatar Forums, and now Tree of Souls - I have met so many incredible people I call "family" - Neytiri - As madman said, expressing my emotions (but pretty much limited to ToS family members, no one else around me would See) but if ToS or Avatar Forums or any other online Avatar community didn't exsist, I fear of where I'd be at now... thank you all - NEYTIRI!!! |

-I feel my loneliness a lot more
-I realise something has been missing as long as I can remember -I realise I was never really happy, just less miserable than before. -I realise how many truly blind people there are in the world -I have more appreciation for the world around us -I want to become a Na'vi -I have made the first REAL friends, people who listen to me, who I can listen to, who See and understand me. -For the first time in my life, I've talked about how I REALLY feel without having to hide it. -I'm a lot less afraid to express my emotions and be myself -I don't care what other people think of me so much -I'm always thinking of home - Pandora -Neytiri... ![]() -I've lost all interest in so many things I used to do or enjoy -I want to enjoy my life, not be stuck in some job for the rest of my life Quote:
-The people here really help, without you all I'd probably have lost it, you're all so friendly and helpful, you understand. Without ToS (and AF before) I would really not be able to cope with things and I don't even wan to think about what would have happened

- Environmental protection advocacy
- The wish to pursue a career in ecology - To realise what I should look for in a relationship - Meet the love of my life - To become even more cynical, although that's probably not a good thing - I cry more. Although still very rarely - Encompass greater moral understanding and respect - Increased my biology grades - Have become more logical and yet I have expanded my emotional capacity at the same time

-I feel and show emotion a lot more.
-It changed my perception of life and what I want from it completely. -I no longer judge people on face value. (Something I didn't do much of before, but even less so now) -Helped me strengthen exactly what it is I want from a relationship. -I see beauty all around me, no mater how seemingly small or insignificant. -Became a pescatarian. -Found a group of people I really, truly feel I belong with. (For the first time in my life.) -Became a lot more spiritual. -I try to give out only good energy and love to all those I meet.
