One Life Ends, Another Begins
It seems like this saying was shown more than once in the movie... When Tom was shot in the beginning, when he died Jake took his place and went on the most incredible, epic adventure of his life. Toms life ended, Jakes life began.
Another example is Quartich at the end of the movie, when Neytiri kills Quartich, the war between the Sky People and the Na'vi is over (possibly... we'll find out in Avatar 2) so now Jake is able to live with the Na'vi without fear of being bossed around by Quartich and the rest of the humans. Quartich life ends, Jake lifes begins (again, but more on a better level) Anyone else agree?

I love that aspect of the movie!
I noticed an example in my last viewing, look at the way Tom is put in the crematorium and how Jake is put into the link. One life ends... another begins! I think its pretty neat

Yes I can see this a lot too. Esentially, the same could be said for every time Jake leaves/enters his Avatar body...

It really is a beautiful quote. My favorite thing about it is how you can relate it to your own life- before Avatar and after Avatar.

"One life ends, another begins" can also be said when Jake gives up his human body for his avatar body. Literally, his old life is over...forever. His new life begins, in his new body. Now he doesn't have to constantly switch between his old and new life.

There are a lot of interesting sayings in this movie that are full of deeper meaning. For example, regarding Grace. She mentions she would "die to get a sample" of the Tree of Souls. Well, she does sort of die, doesn't she.
And when she says to Quartich "What are you gonna do, shoot me?". Well, he does shoot her, doesn't he? It took me awhile to catch all that. I think I'll find more things as I keep watching the movie.

I don't really agree with you. He signed up to be a marine in the first place. He didn't care about his peers nor did he really care about his situation. I could tell he was rather uncomfortable being with big-headed scientists who talked way above him, especially after Grace's first meet and greet with him (reminder, she was a complete hag). It was sad to know the truth behind the saying, Toms life for Jakes. But Quatirch's live for Jakes? It doesn't really add up. I think I know what your trying to add up though. With respect.
