Here are three poems I wrote tonight. There are a lot of new poems I'll need to check out in this subsection...
![]() "Unworthy Dreamer" I fall short of the gods I create in my dreams Two extremes - I'm captured in between Reaching out, finger tips leave me As I scratch and heave, limp and weave For a spot I reserved for the image of me An imagined counterfeit - magnifying my soul As I realized and am told I am not worthy to be seated By the gods I created in my dreams "My Moment with the Dead - a Realization" I see the daisy demonstrating days of yester My mind hypnotized by the inticing buffet of memory Sitting beside me are people that passed so peacefully Reminiscing to me about their dreams and misery Wishing to be flesh like me so blissfully Instantly I share their memories and emotions Like oceans I can see no end immediately But their reels wind thin as we approach their death day Celebrated as the beginning to their new eternity Tears fill their dreams as their souls brittle Prepared to be ejected from body to heaven While I snap back to the present And realize the gift: That I am still living "Diseased Thought" Diseased is thought and it spreads Throughout my head to the ends As my brain is imprisoned in intermission Thought after thought distorted as truth Can't tell the difference Can't get my mind loose Thought after thought feeds frighteningly freely Tainting reality to the soul within me A nightmare where I can't be awakened Can't break free Can't be sane again My emotions swell up like violent oceans In the recess of my own distress caused erosions As the world carries on In front of my eyes colored blind

Incredible, all of them.
Both "Unworthy Dreamer" and "My Moment with the Dead - a Realization" I find particularly resonating, and the imagery you used in "My Moment..." is just great.

Excellent, excellent writing. I agree with what Empty Glass said. All of them are brilliant.
Unworth Dreamer was the one that spoke to me in particular. I can empathise with that so well...

Thank you, both. I should have more time in the coming days to catch up on all the poetry I've missed out on since my last visit to this subsection...
