Very controversial subject, I understand. But should we follow in the footsteps of AF and start the trend where any posts in the "Forum Games" section aren't counted?
I hear the "no's" already; hear me out! It seems this way in many forums I've been to, where any "game section" posts don't count toward the overall total of a person's forum messages. No kidding. It seems like any/all posts of some sort of substance (even if it's a simple "I agree") come from everywhere on the forum except the games section. Now, I understand that if this were carried out, the post count for many members will considerably decrease... while others won't have much of a decrease. It probably won't be accepted by most of the members, which is why I expect this thread will quickly die, but nevertheless I'm putting the idea out, just for thoughts on the matter. Don't get me wrong, I post on the games section as well, and would probably get a large amount of my post count removed. But my main reason for suggesting this is that if this is done, people will be known by their contribution to the forums with the more relevant counts showing up. Of course, there are many places other than the games section where people are silly and have fun, and I don't mind. I'm just saying that the games section is the center of most of the unimportant posts of the forum. Removing the post count for the games section won't remove all unnecessary posts from a person's post count, but it will (in most cases, including myself) greatly decrease it. Perhaps there could be a subtitle under the person's count on their profile tab (the ones on each message a person makes; you know) where right under the number of "Posts", there could be "FG Posts", representing "Forum Games", or just plainly "Forum Game Posts". Just thought I'd bring the idea out. |

I agree, Forum game posts shouldn't be counted to a members overall post count. Then new members can correctly judge who to talk to based on post count, instead of someone who's just spammed in Forum games.

Firstly... nice avatar Txon!
![]() Secondly... I agree but some games aren't really games, like the 'Random Stuff about Yourself'. That might as well be a thread than a forum game. So I agree, but only where necessarily applicable. Also if this goes through, Hoscba and Pali's post count are going to go down. A lot. A LOT. Like 4'000 or something lol

I also agree. Sometimes it's really misleading when you see someone's high post count knowing that this person would never post so much. And sometimes it's not fair.
![]() Maybe there should be a poll added in this thread? Just a suggestion.

Im not sure that in a community like this that even judging how relevant a persons words are should be done by post count. I dont consider anyone with a huge post count any higher than anyone else. Hell I dont even really look at post count.
I consider the relevance of their contributions by when I read their posts. So imo its not a big deal though if enough people agree than I will not object and throw a fit over the removal of a chunk of my post.

What does it matter?
Post count means nothing, user title means nothing. We've gone over this before

I have made a poll - moving the discussion over to the new thread:
