Looks like a nice offer for those who have cash to burn. It'll be interesting to see how much people are willing to pay.

Ive seen the Mythbusters and some news reporters do it, it seems cool, but you have to realise for some moments your traveling in a plane, pointed straight down at the very solid ground, going 500mph...kinda dumb...

The zero g thing would be amazing by itself, but to do it with James Cameron would even better

After reading through the auction it seems like you get to pretty much spend the whole day with him. Along with a bunch of free Avatar stuff

That...is full of epic and win...

What kind of Avatar stuff? 1:1 scale of Neytiri? That would make the offer so much more awesome.

Oh, is that the 'Vomit Comet' plane? That's how they filmed a lot of Apollo 13 and a few other movies that needed true zero g for minutes at a time.
Not for me... I get severe butterflies in my stomach from a ferris wheel or tall roller coaster hills!

'I don' care who's gonna be up there foo'..I ain't gettin' in no airplane!'

I hate flying for the very sensation of weightlessness even momentary like you get on a roller coaster hill or ferris wheel.
I wonder if they used it for the opening sequence coming out of cryo? I've seen some footage where the inside of the plane cabin is green screen so they can insert footage for movie scenes.

No no no... Foo's arent the ones getting in planes. Foo's are the people who JUMP OUT of perfectly good planes.

thats rad! wish i had the money for that!

although, i think a better auction/contest thing would be to get a chance to go to The Volume and get your own performance capture suit and film a scene with neytiri and jake and get it all photo-real finished and on dvd you can show off! i think that would be epic
