I wasn't sure where to put this. This section just seems to be the section that makes the most sense since it relates to the site's features.

Anyway. Some users have different color font. I'd like to change mine as well. Do I just change it once and it stays like that? Or do I have to change my font before every post I make?

You have to manually color it. Not too hard, since you just highlight the whole message and click the color you want.

The reason why some people here seem to have a constant color for each message they make is because they've grown into doing it so often that they never forget. It's like a routine thing. I've known people from other forums who do the same thing. Apollo's the only one I can think of at the moment who has a specific color (magenta).

There's no way to do it as a global setting (as there should definitely not be), you have to add the BBcode to each post.
Please don't choose anything really painful on the eyes like bright pink like some members do

For people who do, you can highlight their text and it becomes much more readable
