When did life become a punishment
and not a gift? When did people start to give away everything they had? Their time, their land, their lives, themselves. When did freedom become a priviledge? When did thinking become a luxury? When did ignorance become blissful? When did man thought: "Over or under" and not "One with"? When did man thought it was better and easier to sell his soul away than keeping it? The wise lady spoke: "Whenever it happened, it did. And now a reality that should have never been, exists."

When?
When we became far too powerful... ...and far too ignorant.

When we forgot what made life worth living...
When the few learned to control the many... When we stopped viewing the Earth as anything more than a ball of natural resources... When religion became a money-laundering scheme... When we began believing fulfillment can be bought... There's an innumerable amount of "whens" in regards to how we got here, but they're not important anymore. The past is past, what's done is done. The "when" that matters now is, "when will we change?"

"You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling." - Inception "Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." - Tyler Durden Last edited by Tsyal Makto; 12-02-2010 at 12:48 AM. |
