May 2011 - Neytiri figurine released by Sideshow collectibles
June 2011 - Opening of Avatar exhibition in Seattle (meetups in June and July)
2012? - Publication of The Science of Avatar (Stephen Baxter)
2012? - Publication of James Cameron's Avatar novel
2012? - First Avatar convention and expo
February 2012 - General release of 3D blu-ray
November 2012 - Earliest date at which filming of Avatar sequels can begin
December 2014 - Sequel 1 released
December 2015 - Sequel 2 released


What have I missed?

Hey, this was a great idea!

I can't think of anything terribly important I guess.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a beastiary for Pandora. I kind of want JC to fill in Pandora with more organisms that live in other ecosystems.

Looks like you have most of the bases covered. I am so happy to see many things going on and coming out between now and 2015.

For obvious reasons besides the very much anticipated sequels, I myself am looking forward to the following you had listed:

June 2011 - Opening of Avatar exhibition in Seattle (meetups in June and July) : Attending in June
2012? - Publication of The Science of Avatar (Stephen Baxter) : Can't wait!
2012? - Publication of James Cameron's Avatar novel : Really can't wait!
2012? - First Avatar convention and expo: Definitely planning to attend this one when more information becomes available.
