Default Anyone thinks it's the same as Dark Crystal?

If you haven't seen Dark Crystal, please rent it. James Cameron himself praised Jim Henson's 1982 masterpiece as a work of art and you'll find similarities.

I got Dark Crystal a couple days back, only watched the beginning so far since i dont got much spare time atm. Looks like an amasing movie though! I love the puppet effects, and it's pretty interesting to consider all they vent through to make the movie. Today, it would just be boring CGI for kids!

Gonna see if i find any similarities to Avatar when i come around to watch it. I can understand if James Cameron likes it though, seems like a cherised classic!

Offtopic: Lovely Avatar HarryCanyon, gotta love Heavy Metal!

IMO, The Dark Crystal was the Avatar of the early 1980s... a totally off-Earth world, creatures never heard of and puppetry effects at their best. The only thing in which it surpasses Avatar is:

Fizzgig!

Good movie. Any similarities to Avatar strictly coincidental. In fact, I can't think of any at all
