Did Tsu'tey go to Grace's school?

I have this vision of Tsu'tey being the troublesome one at the back of the class, and Neytiri being attentive (yet spirited) and sitting at the front. Tsu'tey writes 'I love you Neytiri XXX Tsu'tey' on a note and asks the younger kids to pass it forward.

I think he did go to the school, but briefly. Makes sense because he knows and can speak english. It's obvious he has some animosity though towards Grace and the sky people probably after Neytiri's sister was murdered along with all the clear cutting that has been done as well. Great thought!

He must have surpassed a bit of that animosity towards Grace though, since we see an expression of genuine grief on his face at Grace's death, shared by other clan people at the Tree of Souls just before Jake makes his speech. I wonder, if he went as far as the other Na'vi kids attending the school, calling Grace "mother" at some point.

I agree with you on that and perhaps he may have had the animosity for a spell but I think he did have respect for her when she did die. I think maybe he realized that her heart was in the right place all along and she had a genuine love the clan. I think he may called her sa'nok too! Thanks for that pointing that out my eylan.

I am sure he did; however, I think Tsu'tey was distrustful of skypeople from the start and the incident at the school only confirmed his suspicions. You see Mo'at in the movie and she is the exact opposite. She seems sympathetic to Grace and Jake.

The upcoming novel will definitely be an interesting read.

I like to think he did. He knows fairly good English. But like mentioned above, I see him sitting in the back of the glass shooting spit wads up at Grace.

I think of Tsu'tey as the hesitant one who came around the school occasionally over the course of its existence, and picked up bits and piece for a short time 'till Grace might've talked to him for a bit. Sort of like a kid who doesn't go to school, but watches from the outside and becomes interested.

That, and considering the fact that he might've been in love with Sylwanin, he could've just been hanging around the school since she was there.

I also think Tsu'tey may have loves Sylwanin first before she got killed. him going to the school would be the best explanation for his knowing English, and I would guess that Sylwanin being older than Neytiri means she may have been similarly aged to Tsu'tey, who always seemed maybe a few years older than Neytiri, I thought.

I always thought that maybe Sylwanin was his first choie. It makes sense, too. Neytiri didn't really seem all that interested in him. You see how quickly she was attracted to Jake.

Getting back on topic, I always marveled at his and Grace's relationship throughout the movie. It is combative and yet there is something else to it. Can't figure it out.

I do think he went to the school because I've always thought the bullet hole in his ear was a physical reminder of what happened there. (I assume it's a bullet wound because it's just so perfectly circular like a grazing bullet as opposed to some sort of jagged accident from an arrow or animal.)
