MOUNT AND MUSKET BATALLION



Mount and Musket Battalion is modification to Taleworld's medieval combat simulator, Mount and Blade Warband. Mount and Musket brings the game out of the middle ages and into the days of Napoleonic Warfare.

Since the time of this early trailer, the game has gone a long way receiving continued support and updates especially in the graphics department. The mod invites you to play as a single soldier on a Napoleonic battlefield pitted against other players online. You can take on a great multitude of roles from a great captain to a lowly drummer boy, one of Napolean's elite Garde Chasseur a Cheval to hastily trained Russian militia who must pick up a gun off of a dead comrade.

The game also features epic siege battles with fortifications, cannons that can be limbered and unlimbered, buildable barricades, destructible walls, and even naval battles (very soon). Melee combat is very challenging. You have to master timing, blocking, and parrying in order to survive. Musket fire also features bullet drop at extreme ranges.

The game can handle up to 250 players online on a single battle map. Yes, 250 players with regular events scheduled every week. Line battles are hosted every Friday, it is on this day that everyone comes together and dukes it out in a massive clash. If that doesn't suit you, then you can join any of the multiple small skirmish games hosted on private servers.

When hundreds of people are fighting it out, its a truly epic sight to behold (even on low settings).

And this is only a single mod out of a great multitude of popular mount and blade mods with constant activity. Mount and Blade's medieval combat system has been adapted to a great multitude of things from WWII style combat to a medieval MMO mod and even star wars Jedi Knights.
