Adelino Ramos Killed: Third Environmental Activist Murdered This Week In Brazil

Quote:
SAO PAULO -- They watched as the Amazon rain forest fell around them. Instead of staying quiet, as so many people in the lawless region do, environmentalist leader Jose Claudio Ribeiro da Silva and his wife, Maria, fought back.

They reported illegal loggers to police and federal prosecutors. They confronted powerful interests that destroy the forest for the quick economic gains to be made from selling timber, or from clearing land to raise cattle or soybeans.

This week, like so many Amazon activists before them, the Silvas were gunned down.

Looks like the pig sons of bitches behind raping the Amazon Rainforest are murdering those who dare to speak out agains't their atrocities. But do you see the authorities doing anything about it? Wonder who's payroll they are on!

Swine, every one of them. The filthy loggers and the *****s who take their dirty money. May they all rot in hell.

God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. Damn, man.
It seems like the guy with the bigger gun can do what they want. (So to speak)

Just perfect. Couldn't get much better. -_-

Now this might just be me, but this sounds awfully like the warring empires and religions of old - martyrs dieing for their cause, while their 'oh so powerful' leaders make more problems then they solve.

Oh, this is very sad news! It makes me so angry! It's bad enough those forests are being destroyed, but the people trying to save them have to pay with their lives too?!
When will it end?

never heard or read of activists getting killed in the amazon, but i'm not surprised. they should team up with the Mexaican cartel to protect the forest
