I didn't really care for it the first viewing. But I watched it years later and loved it.
Still, I don't think it should've won over Fellowship of the Ring.But still a fantastic film!!

Havent seen this film! LOL gonna have to now.
Though this proves a point in a problem I have with Horner, he recycles his stuff WAY to much! I mean it would be okay if it was just a little or he was just starting to, but he has done it his whole career and it kind of bugs me. Though I do like the Avatar soundtrack (though more because it is related to Avatar) a lot.

It's like he didn't have time to even score the film and just pasted a whole bunch of tunes together with maybe 3 different notes in each cue. That's when I lost all respect for his composing ability for a while. You'll especially notice he practically plagiarized his own main theme from "A Beautiful Mind" and stuck it in the opening credits for BM. EDIT: Hey! This is my 100th post, and it happens to bash Avatar's composer!

Yeah same with me, it just bugs me so much that he does that! Of course I'm also a big elfman fan haha! I agree though that while avatar may not be the best soundtrack it did help me to enjoy horner again and I probably listen to it so much because I remember the scenes from the movie. Haha
