it is certainly a pale shadow of the real event but I couldn't get myself over there last year - so I trailed Seattle Meetup 2011 like a hungry viperwolf thru the forum, every single day of it, and man, it was worth it ... I even got a PSD (post-Seattle depression) if you believe me.

If there's nothing else you can do to get yourself there physically - I recommend this virtual option. The photos, the videos & the comments the meetup crew posted were simply brilliant, they really take you there - & you fill the rest with your imagination

Hopefully, we will be able to do the same again next year. I know Mikko had his photos up on line literally within minutes...like 2 minutes!... of them being taken. I was a bit slower with the video...sometime found myself falling asleep as I was editing a few clips together on my phone! And the rest of us were posting on the forums as we could.

It was great bringing those who could not make it along with us. It was like having them with us...well to me it was.

ohhh ma tsmukan! what did it matter - 2 minutes, or 15, or 2 hours? you (the photo & video crew) were there & you did it, & you really took us there! Ok, I am speaking for myself but I am sure I am not alone in this feeling

Well, that's because I'm highly strung! Hahaha....

Nahhh, the reason for this one was because not everyone will be aware of the Seattle 2012 area, so I posted here in the General area where most people seem to frequent. Sort of an awareness post thing

Don't worry, I'm only going slightly mad though....need another Avatar fix I think.

As I put in the blur, it will be highly likely that you will be able to get better deals, especially if you book early. There was a £200 ($320) difference between when I first booked my flight in February and end of May when I came over. The other thing is that it will be the height of the holiday/vacation season so prices will be up...

Sigh - I wish I could come. Probably I cant because it is very very far away. All the way over the Atlantic ocean. There is little way for me to get there. But who knows what will be next year
