![]() By going with Steven Lang's Na'vi Ipod lessons the Na'vi have no verb for Love. Though I noticed in The Na'vi Dictionary there is another word for love besides Yawne. Tiyawn. Now how would you use this word in a sentence. And when? I know yawnetu is loved one but that is all I can find on this subject. Also is there anyway one can express themselves in a greater sense to a mate than you are beloved to me? I would apreciate any help I can get on this. Last edited by Dakar; 01-31-2012 at 10:13 PM. |

Nga yawne lu oer = I love you
Lì'fyari leNa'vi oel 'efu ngeyä tìyawnit = I feel your love for the Na'vi language Yawn(e)tu = loved one Tìyawn is always a noun. Love as an abstract noun, idea, concept. Yawne is adjective beloved, loved. Indeed there is no verb "to love" instead you say "X is beloved to Y" = "X yawne lu Yru" ----------------------------------------------------------- However, strangely enough, there IS a verb to hate: ve'kì. Xìl ve'kì Yti = X hates Y Oel ve'kì ngati = I hate you tìve'kì = n. hatred Hopefully this has has been helpful
