Due to the large number of young below marriage age members, my wife and I were wondering just how many married couples, gay or straight, there are on Tos, SOOO... Here's the poll.

Hmm, interesting response, Raiden.
You know, *sometimes* I wish my answer could be like yours...sometimes I *wish* I didn't need anyone/a significant other, and right now I am single and living on my own, and I'm okay with it for the time being. But there's a part of me that would *really* like to find my soulmate/lifemate, if he's out there. So I'm trying not to give up on that just yet.

And yeah, I agree there should be a "dating" option in this poll, since many people date each other but don't live together.

I guess there is time & place for everything. 'Time' could mean 'forever' like in Raiden's case (at least this is what he feels like now) - or in somebody else's case it could be 'enjoy the singleness while it lasts & you're ok with it; when other needs surface, an opportunity will certainly present itself!'

I also guess there are just people like Grace 'who likes plants more than people' & maybe Raiden likes creatures more than people.

Niri, are we deviating your thread? the subject is way too interesting for just a poll maybe we should start another thread, like "Finding a Soulmate: is it real? (is it necessary??)" Or something...

No, this is FINE ma Apache, I was hoping that people would vote and then discuss down here in the comments section.
Like you said, this is a very personal decision. There was a time when I was considered "Hot Property" when I was both in the Army, and playing Soccer in College. That was then, and I was just interested in having a good time, no strings attached. (There were some very powerful gender identity reasons for my behavior back then, even though I was VERY successful in the eyes of the other students most of which were 5 to 7 years my junior, and I could have ANY one of the females that I wanted, I HATED the gender role that was thrust upon me). I would not yet learn of my intersexed birth for another 3 to7 years, and I was just trying to enjoy the body that I was forced to live inside by keeping a "score book" and totaling up numbers of young women that I could take to bed).
After I learned about my birth, and then KNEW why I so hated how I was typecast at birth by my progenitors decision in 1950, I had the problem corrected, and have never been more at ease.
The last "step" in my transformation, and maturation came 20 years ago when I met Ateyo. Since then, the two of us have been inseparable. I have gone from the totally self absorbed womanizer of my youth, to someone who was just happy being recognized as being the gender that I knew that I was since I was three or four to someone who considers it great joy to put off what I want in material things, in order to make Ateyo's life better. It isn't just the legal definition of my gender that changed years ago, I have evolved as well. Ateyo and I are thankful every day, that Eywa patiently molded each of us to be ready for each other when the time was perfect for us to meet.
The two of us are VERY happy to be Married, Legally, as well as Spiritually, and know with every fiber of our beings, that one day, we will both still be together with Eywa.

Then you have a couple of years yet till you are ready to make that change in the way that your life is. Enjoy what you have as a lifestyle right now, that time will come soon enough, and bring with it responsibilities that you don't need to worry about yet, enjoy the absence of them.

Iron, this poll was aimed at people were CO-HABITATING. If you want to start a people who are either living alone, or living with parents, than go for it dude, it's YOUR poll.
