Thumbs up A Clonetrooper's Journey through Europe

So once again I have found myself drifting away from forums and the internet in general (Even though I posted here a couple of months ago saying "I'm coming back!"). Life is just funny like that I suppose. I am now an Undergraduate at Durham University, and amongst other things I have spent the last few months doing charity events for my University and Prostate Cancer Research UK (My dad was affected by this terrible illness).

One of the things I did was to do a charity jailbreak. Essentially I had to get as far away from Durham in 36 hours without spending a penny. To make it more challenging/interesting, I thought I would attempt this as a Clonetrooper.

It was a wonderful experience, and our final destination was Cologne, Germany, and we raised over £700

Getting on a bus- Sorry, I mean troop transport. Like a Clone Trooper.

I was interrogated by Earth Police outside Buckingham Palace, as the night vision cameras had deemed me a potential security threat.

En-Route to France, no Separatist Cruisers sighted.

A little Clone a bit far from Kamino.

Stabbed by a Jedi in Koln, Germany. It was an accident.

Ladies trooper.

Execute Order 66 initiated. Turned on comrades.

36 Hours well spent! Had a wonderful time (Well apart from having to go all the way back the next day the same way

Hey, that's neat. I think I must have missed whatever your comeback post was, cause I can't ever remember seeing you before. Anyway, you're invited to http://www.tree-of-souls.com/meetups..._minimeet.html

Yes, I admit that my existence here on ToS has been farily limited. Spent quite some time on Avatar Forums, then moved and spent a good 3-4 months here when it first started up, and then I have been on adventures throughout 2011/12. Never really forgot about ToS though.

I have seen the Minimeet thread, I do not deny that I am interested!

That's amazing

I saw a poster for one of these events before - how did you get around? Hitchhiking?

Yes, mostly hitchhiking, although we did persuade National Express to get us to Calais and back for free! I tell you what though, 72 hours in that outfit was NOT comfortable at all.

Good on you! Congratulations on raising over £700!!
It's pretty interesting that you went as CT-7567 (Rex)

Hopefully with enough funding, the research bodies can come up with more cost effective treatments for those who are affected by prostate cancer and with less side effects.

If the average cost to treat any of the various forms of cancer back in 2010 was £30,000 then charity movements would become even more important to try to help those who are affected by cancer.
