Default Smart and sassy Trudy Chacon

I must praise trudy because not only is she a strong female character but she is brave and witty and brings such brightness to the movie even when its at its most darkest parts.

Not to mention michelle actually had to learn how to fly a helicopter. Holy moly.

Who?

Her character has died in all the movies I've seen with her but I haven't seen very many.

"Vasquez always dies" is the cliche where, if a film has two female characters, one of whom is tough and manly and so on, while the other is more feminine and caring, the former will be killed off at some point. It's named after Aliens, where Vasquez is one of the marines going to LV-426, although she isn't played by Michelle Rodriguez.

I think one of the major problems with Trudy is how little impact she has. She and Max busts Jake and co out of jail, yes, and she gets involved in the final climactic battle... but then doesn't have any visible impact on the battle's outcome.

I hadn't heard of this one. I figured this was just something to do with Michelle Rodriguez, considering the only movie series I've ever seen her in where her character didn't at some point die or get maimed was Blue Crush. I say movie series because her character only died in one of the Fast & Furious movies. TBH, I'm kind of glad this is a thing because I sometimes worry about the mental state of actors and actresses who are constantly taking roles where their charaxter's die. And by actors and actresses I mean Sean Bean and Michelle Rodriguez.

Michelle has said in interviews that there's a good reason she always ends up dying - she's turning down all "more feminine" roles.

It's hard to work a minor character into a movie in a plot-significant way, I guess. She did distract Quaritch at one moment, but it would have been too hard to keep her in close fighting in a believable way, I guess.
