Well, first I think this is going to be the closest thing you're looking for. Check out some of the other articles in the music category, especially the one on music theory.
Personally, I don't think that James Cameron or anyone else who fleshed out the Na'vi culture would have decided that they would have music in a similar vein to military marches like what armies of civilizations on Earth have used. I think it's much more likely that indigenous musical traditions were used for inspiration, although I'm no expert on what they might have specifically used. |

I can't imagine the na'vi marching, they'd probably just have some complicated drum beat and be leaping around if they weren't riding animals
