Is it possible?
To "beep" every member of this forum to lure them back? Something like a PM that goes to their email on file and says "Hey the gang at TOS wants you to come back and hang out again!".
It's just a little sad how slow this forum is these days. It used to be my go-to forum and I'd check it a few times a day to read new threads but now I only have to check it once every two weeks or so and sometimes there are no new threads or any old folks chiming in. I know it's been years since the movie grabbed our hearts but I feel there should be more fans around than what we see now.

oh I wish. But, I know I do this, I lurk every now and then, and post once in awhile.
But I haven't forgotten you guys. I'd till say Avatar, AF, and ToS have been the biggest influence on my life, because they stepped me up.

It is possible, but perhaps not a good idea.
Few people appreciate receiving emails not asked for - and I would not want to ask people to return to ToS for the sake of returning to ToS. This community is always here for anyone who wishes to join or come back to it, but there should never be a pressure to stay. I realize that a larger number of active users would liven up the community, but this needs to happen because people choose to come here on their own, or through personal contact with other forum members. Sending out a mass email would perhaps send the wrong message - I would advise that you perhaps send out a few PMs on your own to friends of yours who used to frequent this community. As long as it's done in a respectful manner and is merely a polite invitation, it is a far better approach.

I see what you are saying but I I wouldn't feel that way. I receive some emails from forums that I'm not active in anymore that remind me about that forum. For instance there's a bike forum I joined about 6 years ago and I get an email every year from them that states how many people joined, how many posts were made, etc, and that "I'm a valid member of the community and we miss having your input" or something like that. I kinda forgot about the forum because I haven't been biking in a long time. There's also a jeepforum, XJTalk.com, that I get semi-yearly email notif with the same info. I'm a member of so many jeepforums that I forget about some.
I just figured alot of people went about their lives and forgot about avatar and could use a reminder that us folks, who are still around, miss them. Just wondering........
