Avatar sequels tidbits + Cirque du Soleil + Avatar theme park

News have been scarce on the Avatar sequels, but at least we have some new tidbits thanks to a presentation of Titanic live in London. James Horner and Jon Landau were interviewed by HeyUGuys on the Titanic concert but of course, they talked about the Avatar sequels as well.

First, James Horner (Avatar sequels talk starts around the 7m40 mark):

Bullet points:

• Jim has 4 scripts done, trying to squeeze them in 3 movies
• A lot of the first sequel will be underwater
• He is flabbergasted by the artwork he's seen so far (and he's been with Jim Cameron for a lot of movies)
• He's very involved with Disney on the Avatar theme park
• the Avatar theme park will have physical floating mountains 50 meters high with waterfalls
• He's not involved so much on the Cirque du Soleil show (the show is opening in December)

Next we have Jon Landau (Avatar sequels talk starts at the 6 minute mark):

Bullet Points:

• He's very involved with Cirque du Soleil and Disney for the theme park
• Each sequel has to work on its own (i.e. no cliffhangers are the end of the movies) they're connected by a larger story arc
• Higher frame rates will definitely be used in the sequels
• Graphic novels in development with Dark Horse comics

The whole interviews are certainly worth a watch.

More details concerning the Avatar ride at Disney:

The Avatar river ride will be called Na’vi River Journey, and it will take guests on a journey into one of the bioluminescent forests on Pandora with animatronic creatures filling in for the CGI creations that appeared in the first Avatar movie. The beginning of the ride will put guests in canoes as they travel down a sacred river within the rainforest and witness the amazing plant life and animals that live there. At the end of the ride, the Na’vi shaman will arrive and give guests a musical send off as she “sends positive energy out into the forest through her music.”

Irayo for the update, I cant wait to be in Pandora

I like most of the examples of Avatar land , but I saw an example of a presentation at a Disney expo press event that presented "Pandora" as a cooperate tourist experience presented by A.C.E or Alpha Centauri Expeditions and that example really went against the grain of the films underlying core message lets hope they think this presentation out
and develop a different story angle like ,, the Na'vi people inviting "privileged" groups to learn about there culture and planet. has space transport technology improved or would it still take years to get there ?
there is also the question as to the "believability" as to why ? the Na'vi would want hundreds of "Ignorant children" tramping through a forest full of dangerous creatures also comes to mind , what story elements would bring groups of " people from earth" there ? some sort of cultural exchange program ?
And how could "we" visit this place showing proper honor and "respect" for Na'vi and life on this world as well as learning about diversity and balance structures on our own world ,, "what is the time setting ?
Pandora is not at all like "Jurassic park"
How can this be a reflective immersive learning experience for park visitors ? should it be ?
of course I realize its early work , but I hope they put some deeper thought into this.
