Weya

I just read a document (not written by a known Avatar fan) that contained this phrase:

...the American Pomo Indian experience and concept of WEYA -- the vibrational energy that connects all living things in the universe.

Well, look at that. Weya - Eywa. Neat connection. Googling shows very little reference to this word. One such is in the book Women and Power in Native North America:

Spritual power (weya) in contrast, is an often unbidden force that comes to individuals from "not ordinary" sources. Its power is profound, and those who try to avoid its call are punished by death. It is a power that is very rarely sought because its presence requires a structured life filled with difficult taboos and restrictions.

Thought this would be of quirky interest here.

Weya...that is odd lol. was this written recently? because if it was, it might be because of the apparent startup of Avatar filming soon.
