Default Beauty from youth?

Does anyone else here think that a part of the reason that Neytiri looks beautiful is that she looks very young? If that's the case, how might one physically change as he/she gets older?

I'm not so sure. Getting older won't change that much, she will still look beautiful. Even Mo'at, who is obviously old, still looks good enough

All you notice with the Na'vi when they get older is a few deep lines..
Obviously being dark blue would help cover things like that up.
Having virtually no body fat and no gray hair helps too.
Na'vi are quite well off compared with humans.

Hmm...

The years haven't been too kind with that Na'vi woman. She's the first Na'vi person I really noticed (besides Neytiri) when I watched the movie for the first time, and I thought, "UgLY!" Though, her body is still fit.

Hmm. I'm not so sure youth has anything to do with it -- more like that beautiful look on her face when she smiles...

Well, I can't really say, I'm not attracted to her in that way. But, I will say, that she will probably end up looking like Mo'at somewhat. If you really love her for her personality and character and who she is, then that shouldn't matter. (:

Definitely. Her character really won my heart. I don't think she would really look like Mo'at though, because her facial features probably wouldn't change other than having more wrinkles. Spacing of the eyes, the length of the jawline, etc, should remain constant. Either ways she's beautiful.

While I do not think I thought about youth while watching this is an interesting point. It is somewhat in our nature to try and find the youthful fertile females to reproduce. So this is possibly something that could have been subconscious. I mean look how many men are with younger women.

It was her character, not the visuals, for me. Though she certainly has wonderful features as well, don't get me wrong.

I feel she would 'age gracefully' as some may put it. And besides, she'll always be Neytiri! What's not to like?

I agree with Dreamwalker and Boomachucka: Neytiri attracts me more for her stunning personality rather than her (still wonderful) physical features. She's just perfect, in every sense of the word.
