Default Is Avatar playing in a theater near you?

Is Avatar playing in a theater near you? What format is it playing in (3D, 2D, etc)?

Lately, with the releases of several 3D movies, the two theaters near me have been tossing Avatar around a lot. One week it's playing in 3D, the next it's playing in 2D, then 3D again a week later. Luckily for me, it's managed to hold at least one 2D spot since it's release.

Yeah, I think it's still playing in 2D or 3D in maybe one or two theaters around here.
I watched the last IMAX 3D viewing last Thursday. I think that will be the last time I see it in theaters, but if I have a chance to go and see it again, I definitely will take it! I actually like it in 2D, so it doesn't matter to me.

Not anymore . Since How to Train Your Dragon came out, they took Avatar out of my local theatre. So, I won't be able to see it again until it comes out on Blu-ray/DVD.

Uhhh, I believe it is...

Last time I looked, they had cut the 2D showings and gone to 2 3D showings a day. As for my nearest Imax, i'm not sure, but it's no doubt still going there too.

Avatar is still playing in one theatre close to me. A couple other theatres farther away are still playing it, one in 3D.

I want to go see Avatar again. I saw it last thursday, in 2D which IMO was better than 3D.

Only playing at two theatres in the nearby towns of Ft Myers and North Fort Myers FL and only in 2D. Still great in any form!

It's been knocked down to 2d but still shows 4x a day. And only one theater is still showing it too.

It's still playing in 2D here, a few cities away from where I live. Unfortunately, I can't go to any of the showings because they're all while I'm in class (plus I'm broke)

I still have limited 2D shows, through at least a week from today. For 3D I would have to drive over an hour. I saw the very last film IMAX showing at the Indiana State Museum last Thursday. I fear it may be a while before I can see it in all its magnificence again.

Today is the last day for the remaining 3D and 2D showings here in Huntsville. I actually just caught the final 3D showing in town. There are a couple more 2D showings at other theaters in town tonight, but after that, Avatar surrenders its remaining screens to Clash of the Titans.

It's a little sad, honestly, but at the same time it has hung on a lot longer than most films do. Heck, there are films that have come out, left theaters and are already on DVD while we've been still able to go.

Counting down the days until the DVD release and, hopefully, the re-release this fall.

Yep, it's still playing in 3D and IMAX in Fort Worth. God I love Texas.
